A lot of these moves listed are based on actual strikes/throws in real martial arts. The superkick is just a thrust kick seen in various forms of karate, taekwondo, and occasionally even in MMA fights. The superman punch originated in muay thai and was popularized in MMA well before Roman was doing it. The Rock Bottom is a form of a uranagi used in sambo and judo. Russian leg sweep is a sambo technique.

A lot of shyt hurts in real sports as well. Dudes throwing suplexes in the octagon feel it, too. That's why learning how to bump and break falls is taught in wrestling/sambo/judo/bjj and so forth.

I used to think the Canadian Destroyer was cool when Petey Williams did it but that and the jumping cutter are now spammed all over the indies and Lucha Underground I feel nothing for them anymore. I really don't like high risk moves that never win matches like the superplex from the top rope you're being slammed from a greater height and taking something with more impact than whatever their finisher is but you kick out. I don't like moves that obviously require help to pull off or moves where they visibly never make contact I used to always look away when Cena would hit the five knuckle shuffle for this reason.

Also Mojo Rawly's hammer time Double Axe gives me second hand embarrassment.

As great as The Rock was, he inadvertently influenced a lot of wrestlers with their versions of the People's elbow. Some that got over, and some not so much :pachaha:

  • Scotty 2 Hotty's Worm :dame:
  • Cryme Tyme's "Money money, yeah yeah" elbow.
  • Rene Dupree's French Tickler :dame:
  • Kofi Kingston's Boom Drop
  • Mojo Rawley's It's Hammertime
I'm sure there's even more.

you talking bout when Chelsea Green did it to Pentagon on LU a few weeks back? that shyt had me buggin too :mjlol:

shyt looks too cartoonish in a bad way, ain’t no 130lb girl flipping a dude twice her size like that

Yeah man, I'm like :gucci:

Pump handle slam:hhh:

:heh:Yeah, the pump handle is the most inefficient shyt. Do all that just to slam a motherfukker on his back

anytime i see a flying headbutt i cringe now.

I know, between Dynamite Kid and Chris Benoit, I don't know how anybody could do that shyt now.

there was always a viciousness to hogan's offense that i liked :birdman:

but knowing that perhaps that viciousness was motivated by racial hatred is real disturbing :francis:

:dead:

Daniel Bryan's running knee. It looks ridiculous.

I hate that shyt. That's always been one of the reasons I never got the Daniel Bryan love.

To me, he's basic as hell and that finisher is just so corny

Coast to Coast especially with a trashcan or chair. It looks so bad seeing the guy taking the move have to hold the chair/trashcan in place. I'll add Sami Callihan's chair spot too.
