I hate what people have done to the DDT

when Jake did it was perfection
It was believable and was a finish

now it’s just a move and people can’t even do it right, it’s a mockery of what it is supposed to be

besides Raven and Arn Anderson ,I can’t think of anyone else who’s done effective since

Though it wasn't a finish, The Rock's Floatover (and DDT in general) was about as impressive you'd find.

But when Jake did it, you weren't asking if the match was over. You were asking if the victim was gonna make it to his next few matches. It was the nuclear weapon of finishers.

THIS

Bring *finishers* back. :to:

It'd probably take 5 Earthquake splashes to beat Finn Balor these days. Take 3 of those in 1991 and you gotta take a month off.

Definitely the Claymore.

It’s an “out of nowhere” type move where you see it coming 100% of the time. That combined with the way Michael Cole pronounces/says it, the leg slap, and the look he makes after doing it. I can’t stand it. :scust:

Plus, it's basic as fukk.

It's why I never liked Daniel Bryan's running knee as a finisher either.

It doesn't even look like it hurts that much.
