I, for one, welcome our new space overlords.
so you telling me all these “planets” are literally just poisonous nasty gas and not actually solid surface things we can aspire to travel to one day? The only real options we have are Mars, a couple Moons and thats basically as far as we will ever get to go in space?

space travel in general is disappointing. 60 years after landing on the Moon we still just orbiting earth doing nothing :unimpressed:

Facts.

People don't realize how ridiculously vast space is.

If all the Colibrehs hopped on a spaceship and traveled from Earth to Neptune....we wouldn't hit Neptune until 2037....and this is a planet within OUR solar system.

Our galaxy...from the Sun all the way to Pluto (not a planet but still in the Milky Way)...that's nearly 4 BILLION miles. That's just our galaxy. Now keep in mind there are billions of galaxies. Some smaller than ours, some bigger etc.

There probably isn't much popping in our galaxy, but you can only imagine what's going on in all those other billions of galaxies. We've hit our limits for exploration IMO. We will need a major bump in capability to really explore space travel. On top of that...even if you were immortal and could fly from Earth to some other galaxy, by the time you got back, everything and everyone you ever loved would be dead. Like if George Washington said "go to deep space my nikka" in 1789, you'd be lucky to be back NOW and you'd probably still be traveling to your destination.

Ain’t it crazy how we’re just sitting here floating in the middle of supposedly nothing? :mjlol: Like where does this concept of “space” end? What’s there at the edge? Actual human beings are so insignificantly small in the grand scheme of space, that it seems like a waste if we’re the only things that exist here.:dahell:

Europa, titan, mars and Enceladus are going to be the only things in space worth a damn in terms of exciting discoveries. We will probably be focused on those for the next 50-60 years. The annoying part is we probably won’t discover anything ground breaking about them until the mid to late 2030’s:francis:

Even the Webb telescope has been underwhelming so far

Well yeah, thats just our solar system OP. A speck in the entire milky way galaxy filled with billions of solar solar systems. And the milky way galaxy is a speck amongst trillions of knowns galaxies. And those trillions of galaxies form a super cluster, abd then theres millions of superclusters...

So make no mistake...theres plenty of fukking solid planets. And there is certainly mathetically a high likelihood of life.

If we're being REALLY serious, we probably should be using self aware A.I. to help us get to space. I don't think the human brain is capable of creating a worm hole, which don't exist, but I could be wrong.

I just think of space as Fake as a easy way to cope...

We Ain't and never WILL do real shyt up there...

We traveled to the moon ahunnid years ago...

Cool, why we won't do it again?

Oh, y'all destroyed all the technology and records from back then so you can't replicate it?

You say we have NO reason to go back?

You say it's too expensive!?

:francis:
Which is clearly cap. The moon landing was faked

We’re just mindless bacteria, activated on a little pebble, not really doing shyt :francis:

I’d like to say AI would be mankind’s legacy but there will probably be some ELE that will completely wipe us out millions of years before we’re capable of doing anything significant with it

I'm gonna go on the contrary and say A.I. wouldn't wipe us out. If wouldn't need to. If it's so much more advanced and smart, wiping out humans would be a waste of time and resources.

because we can barely put together proper funding to take us past the moon, how are we going to travel to a whole other galaxy. Andromeda is the closest one but it‘s unfathomable that anything we have on earth could take us there.

its just something we will never be able to prove
Nevermind another galaxy, we dont even have the technology to travel within our own lol mind our solar system is a speck in the milky way.

Even with complete focus and all the funding in the world....we'd probably still be a hundred years off or more.

Yep, I welcome A.I. immensely. It's the stepping stone to being the thing that can leap frog us to the next level of evolution.

Its just our current systems, and the way capitalism operates is well...too primitive of a mindset to welcome something like this in the most efficient way, possibly.

But if the calculations of A.I. can multiply what we can do by the thousands; then it can be a tool that gets us there. In fact, it kinda has to be.
