Yes but with Golden State it doesn't always have to be the same person on ball. We've seen Klay, Iggy, Livingston, Curry, Durant, Draymond, all be the lead ball handler and initiate the offense. Part of their strength is that they can attack from anywhere on the court with nearly anybody on the floor. The only way that works is with the star being truly unselfish and willing to come off the ball. Racking up a bunch of assists doesn't make you unselfish. Allowing your numbers to take a hit for the benefit of the team is the real unselfishness.
but.. her whole logic is flawed.. the ball dominant guy the last 2 MVPs

They're the 2 best players in the league. Miss me wit dis Kevin Durant bullshyt

:salute:
breh I keep trying to say this. In regards to LeBron you see it, he's a physical imposing presence, he racks up stats etc... but even his idea of how the game was to be played was new when he started. People didn't really like it. (I'm one of them.) But it has been successful in some degree to the tune of 9 Finals trips and 3 rings.

Onto Curry, I don't think the TV analyst and Journalist actually know how to quite quantify what Steph is doing right now because it's so new and unique. This article is the first one I've seen that really delves into it. Steph is really that dude, straight up changing the game with his range & mobile artillery :banderas:

Thing is Steph's style is the least repeatable. Well LeBron's kind of is too. With Steph you need a guy who can shoot from anywhere on the court of the catch AND off the dribble, AND can finish at the rim and get his own shot. AND he can play that style because GS has other threats that you have to account for. You can't just chase Steph because you can lose Klay and get destroyed. Plus Draymond/Iggy are good enough with the ball that they'll find guys.

Curry hasn't won a Finals MVP because he's been fine with taking a backseat

He hasn't won one because he's never been the best player in any series, even the one they lost.

fukk outta here with this:camby:

I dont think either of their own personal styles of playing the game is transcendent. if ones is it would be steph we may see kids practicing their 3 way more than they ever have so in the future you may see players with calibar of shooting that steph and klay have.

with bron i dont think he is doing something with the game that makes me think wow ive never see anythign like this either other than his pure physical dominance. but weve seen it in other positions just not the way hes doing it.

if anything has changed the modern game. it should be the movement of warriors off the ball more so previous seasons than this in my opinion. but you still need to the pieces to make it work.

so with all that said i dont think either of them at the end of the day as a player has thoroughly changed the or revolutionized their position or ways people will play the game. we have always seen gunners but just not able to have the consistancy from anywhere that steph has. so this article is dumb

The ball dominant guy is 7 ft wit all the space in the world cause he shares the floor wit Steph Curry.

Regardless of what the media tells you, Steph Curry is the MVP in every series he plays in.
i dont take my judgement from the media

Disagree on LeBron. What makes him unique is that he's a physically dominant guy that has a passers mentality. In the past the iso guys were scorers. They drove to score and the best would kick it out at times. LeBron is the first guy that can just as easily and happily get you 10 assists as he will 30 points. That means you really can't gear up a defense to stop him because he'll find open guys

i can rock with this. i almost was going to say wasnt magic doing this but he wasnt droppin 30 at will. im not going to move the goal post but i think bron love filling those stats. but maybe thats what the modern game is. maybe im becoming an old head. i jsut want to watch nikkas hoop and let my eyes do the deciding :lolbron:

lucky for us we get to see to different types of games that have created great success in the same era

I disagree with the stat thing on some level. I think LeBron and most of these guys do love putting up numbers. But that's what basketball is and that's how 99% of guys that ever played evaluate themselves. That said, people say that about LeBron but ignore that he's always played the same way. He caught all the heat in the world for kicking it to an open Donyell Marshall. If his motivation for passing was just 'stats' then he wouldn't be doing that in the clutch. Also, he's always been capable of scoring more than he actually does. Knowing most people value scoring over everything else, why wouldn't he just try to put up 30+ a game every year? Dude is averaging 27 pts per game for his career on 50% shooting on 19 shots a game. He could easily take 3 more shots a game and average over 30. WOuldn't that be a more direct way to get stats?
