It’s not that homophobia doesn’t exist. But equating that to whites literally stringing us up on trees and celebrating, or bombing entire communities, or shytloads of other white supremacist evils is ridiculous.

The reason why people are upset with LGBT infusion into a Black rights conversation is because it is weapon I see by the Democrats to change the conversation. There were even gay professors at one of the schools I worked at who admitted this. Blacks don’t get represented when other special interest groups are discussed. It becomes a tool of avoidance. They were discussing forming an equality center on campus and one professor was honest saying that the center should be focused primarily on African American struggles b/c the fight for civil rights started there, yet whites have the greatest struggles with us. He even mentioned how whites use the gay community as proxies by giving them freedoms to avoid discussing equality for blks and allow them to stand as “easy representatives of meager efforts towards equality”. I’m not. I’m trying to clarify how sexuality is used by whites to avoid addressing racial oppression. It’s their Achilles heel. Traditional, normative blk men and women and our rights get shoved to the side as soon as whites see anybody otherwise to focus on.

I don’t hate or care about what people do in their bedroom. And anybody who does is an idiot. But I’m also not going to lie and act like I haven’t seen whites try and use intersectionality as a way to avoid conversations with race.

I sometimes wonder why that is. Whites are more willing to talk about feminism, gender, class, other ethnicities, aliens, animal rights, the environment, Jews, hell deez nuts in ya mouth...but as soon as anything black comes us, it’s a cacaphony of every bodies drowning us out.

Why doesn’t this happen when we talk about the Holocaust?

Why doesn’t it happen when we talk about immigration?

Or when them Sarah McLachlin videos come on about the poor animals?

I have a working theory on why but I gotta take a mental journey to iron out the fuzzies. Regardless, there’s an issue here and it ain’t being hashed out honestly.

My sister said the same thing to me in a convo. Whites talk about everything with little pushback...except black people. They dont want to humanize us or understand the suffering we go thru. Black people must create our own pro-black dialogue for ourselves. We are in this alone
