I grew up in various parts of Chicago, some hooder than others. But no where I lived were sissies treated more or less than anyone elsewe'd get our jokes off and if you were soft or couldn't take it youd get it worse. This was no diff than anyone else it was just another thing to tease. Even as shorties you knewwwwww some cats were gay but no one really cared other than clowning.
Now, there are some outlier ass psycho nikkas who want to brutalize gay people for no reason but they would once again...do that to anyone. and its a rarity. Youre far more likely to have your average religious cac impede your life than a black person. Hell, I've been to plenty churches that had blatantly flaming cats that no one batted a eye at.
Exactly many black folks don't even care. Hell most black folks got a gay family member. Black folks ain't trying to persecute their family members and shyt. Folks be taking the shyt the see online and using it to generalize all black folks.
Breh my cousin a straight up bull dagger. And my nephew through marriage gay as well. We let these folks be cause at the end whether we agree or not with their life style we let them be cause they just people.
And I say all of this as a kat who grew up in the 80s and my parents had friends and neighbors who were gay (some actually died from aids). So I have dealt with gay folks most my life.
Also what folks don't tell you is that before being gay was acceptable. Most black gays often times didn't have anyone to go to but other black folks to express there issues or concerns. Cause white gays wasn't trying to hear that shyt due to racism. Now folks done flipped the talking points to make it seem like straight black folks been the ones holding back gay black folks progress.

Billy disappointed me by saying this. I hate that people want to think or perceive black people having the monopoly on homophobia when it's these straight white republican men in America by and large writing laws and actively oppressing gay people.
Black people get demonized for so much when by and large I just think we're probably the most accepting of everybody TBH cause black people know what it's like to be oppressed and discriminated and all of that.
