Would be great if we embraced true capitalism and got rid of the minimum wage altogether. But that won't happen.
I do not recommend completely ridden min wage but stop increasing it so often.

assume that brothazay doesnt know about computers even tho hes majored in computer science for the past 2 years brehs
you really have no idea breh....if i put you in a help desk position for a week with NO support from anyone else, you couldn't last a day. it's a LOT more than power cycling a computer...try troubleshooting an issue with a whole department of executives standing over you who can't get ANY work done until you fix it. and deep down inside you KNOW that you really don't know the solution, and you have to either figure it out or provide a viable work around until you can find the solution. shyt looks a whole lot easier than it actually is...
i don't miss helpdesk days...especially at oil and gas companies
I work for a satellite company with over 700K clients....guess what happens when something breaks?
If I were to show you the type of network I manage you will be in TOTAL disbelief.
yes, most days nothing breaks but if something goes wrong....it will require high critical thinking skills to get it up.
and single moms tooIf compensation was based upon labor intensity Mexicans would be the ruling class in this country.

Its not, but dont act like people who on their feet all them damn, dont deserve more den 8 dollars an hourso then you should know that it's not as easy as it looks if there is a problem. people see IT guys during the down time and assume it's all gravy all the time. those same people arent around when a server that stores pet scans for the cancer research department goes down during a tumor board meeting and doctors are looking at you like "we have to perform surgery on this patient in 1 hour and we need to discuss the case and we can't because we can't view the slices. DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!!!" they only see the helpdesk during downtime and assume that's what it is....
If you're sitting on your butt as an it guy that means you've seen and dealt with so many problems over the span of a career that problems that would have taken you HOURS to complete years ago are now solved in minutes. The work has been put in and now friends go on autopilot.on their feet all day deserve mim wage
u coli nikkas i swear

nope their the same thingshow me where i said that? i worked fast food and in retail when i was in high school. i KNOW it sucks. but let's not compare fast food to the IT profession. it's clearly apples and oranges.
Companies should have the freedom to pay whatever rate they want. If a prospective employee doesn't agree with the pay rate then he's free to work for another company. If a company is having a hard time hiring people due to having an unfavorable pay rate and work environment then that company would have to adjust accordingly. I believe this methodology of a problem 'fixing itself due to free market conditions' is superior to the government coming throwing its weight around over regulating everything.
