LOS ANGELES (AP) -- The suspect accused of opening fire inside the Los Angeles airport was determined to lash out at the Transportation Security Administration, saying in a note that he wanted to kill at least one TSA officer and didn't care which one, authorities said Saturday.

It's not clear why Paul Ciancia targeted the agency, but the note found in his duffel bag suggested the 23-year-old unemployed motorcycle mechanic was willing to kill almost any officer he could confront with his AR-15 semi-automatic rifle.

"Black, white, yellow, brown, I don't discriminate," the note read, according to a paraphrase by a law enforcement official briefed on the investigation. The official spoke on the condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak publicly.

The suspect's screed also mentioned "fiat currency" and "NWO," possible references to the New World Order, a conspiracy theory that foresees a totalitarian one-world government.

Terminal 3, the area where the shooting happened, reopened Saturday afternoon. Passengers who had abandoned luggage to escape Friday's gunfire were allowed to return to collect their bags.

:snoop: I been trying to warn y'all about these fukkers for years.

If you are a true blue believer in that shyt that's really about it and not an armchair revolutionary Ron Paul stan/conspiretard/Federal Reservaphobe like some HL/KTL posters (won't say names, but you know who you are), then it logically follows that you should start bussin your gun.

 canadians though?
I've had a bunch of Canadian friends at Michigan and in law school :manny:

It's always good fun when we hit up a Red Sox v. Blue Jays game and they get booed for singing the Canadian anthem.

Well, describe their libertarianism. Sounds interesting.

How much traction is this shyt gaining? The other day, my co-workers were telling me they saw some kingsmen nearby standing in the street with signs talking about the Federal Reserve and the government and promoting infowars.com.

Well, they don't believe in conspiracy theories. Their libertarian philosophy has more to do with their beliefs in how business works and a lack of faith in the government to do things like create jobs. I guess I'd break down the liberal-libertarian separation like this (a friend of mine said this mostly and I'm copy and pasting with some edits because I'm too damn lazy to write up my own from scratch while watching the walking dead...yes we're nerds and get into random discussions like this from time to time on g-chat):

In my opinion the fundamental reason that libertarians tend to be associated with the Right is their common psychology. Righties are uncomfortable with ambiguity; they prefer to establish a core set of values which they treat as axiomatically good and use to derive their policy stances. Righties, that is, like to create a source of objective epistemological authority. For traditional conservatives, this authority is founded in something like "religion," "tradition," "morality," "The Constitution," or "order." For libertarians, that authority is likely to be "The Market," a theoretical authority on human social valuation that avoids the ambiguity of people making decisions *for* other people (an admittedly scary thing).

Lefties have neuroses running in the opposite direction. We're deeply uncomfortable with logically derived, so-called objective sources of authority. We become anxious that these sources of authority are failing to account for vital aspects of the human experience (an admittedly scary thing) and try to replace them with dynamic social institutions. For these sort of reasons, lefties tend to root their political rhetoric in policy prescriptions ("Universal Healthcare!") rather than philosophical statements ("Equality for all!"). Righties tend to rhetorically ignore specific policy areas and focus on axiomatic statements of political philosophy (Free Markets, Free People!).

My friends fall into that bolded sentence. But at the same time, they are not entirely opposed to things they believe the government does run well and things that represent a certain moral baseline that allows for the society they desire. Thus, they support the Canadian healthcare system. It is not a wholesale distrust of anything government, it is a distrust of government in many sectors of life and the freedom that they prefer also makes them what we could call social liberals (support for equality and gay rights, and marriage, etc). Those are just things they don't believe any of us should be concerned about.
