I have already stated i'm against bankruptcy as a whole(for anyone), but understand why its appealing/desirable.

Like I said, you're dense. You're holding onto an ideology just because. In order to save face, you have to take every anti-law stance you have to the extreme.

"its the govt's fault" isnt my ideology nor does is it remotely close, so I dont know how to defend that point. Its just a complete fabrication.:yeshrug: Whoever subscribes to that I guess has been exposed...

"
the government is suing the government with the help of the government."
:upsetfavre: let me explain what I mean, The federal Govt. charters corporations, making them legal entities through legislation, and granting them limited liability.

Factually incorrect.

There are two ways to charter a corporation. The first is for an individual to apply for a charter through a specific state. The second is to obtain a charter through the federal government by way of congressional bill.

Only in the second option does the federal government "charter" a corporation. And even then someone (i.e a specific person) has to sponsor said activity.

My fraternity is incorporated. All fraternities are incorporated. Do you understand what it means to be considered a corporation? Have you taken business law at all? Do you realize liability is not some flat rate term?

Your statement, "blaming any corporation without blaming the government" is congruent to saying "It is the government's fault." You're trying to pedal this lame talking point that didn't work in another thread. You're trying to say because the federal government allowed "corporations" to exist, it is the government's fault that we have rampant corruption. This simply does not work. That's akin to saying because Alexander Hamilton created the US Bank, it's his fault that we went into a Recession in the mid 2000s.

It's an asinine assumption that completely dismisses 200 years of American law and economic development.

You have yet to explain how my ideology(which i doubt you know) is dense... you just repeat that assertion over and over as if that makes it true...
and :russ: @ saving face. what in any of my post in any thread could possibly give you the idea i'm concerned with saving face.

Just to throw it out there though, I believe in honoring contracts, and whatever agreement the debtor and the creditor enter into, should be honored. This can be worked out any number of ways but wiping the slate clean or paying pennies on the dollar is something I am not a fan of ...

:pachaha:Thats probably beyond dense to you huh?

So you are countering the claim that corps are charter by the govt. with "they are chartered by the state govt."? :dwillhuh: Serious question, is that what you are saying? If not my apologies, but that sounds like what you're saying.
and the benefits of being a corp are granted by whom?...

:what: No, i'm saying its because of corp system the people involved are able to escape accountability. :mindblown: My entire point the entire thread was that the people responsible should be held fully responsible., and the corporate system we have makes that near impossible. Govt just happens to play a role in that and I never miss a chance to :violent::bustback: @ govt.
Corporations aren't even real... people are....something govt. also changed :mjpls: and with this change you end up attacking letters on paper rather than flesh and blood human beings.

You seem especially knowledgeable though, so i'm open to what you have to say in disagreement.

Man how did this guy win poster of the year??:mindblown:
1. Hardly anyone voted.

2. The 3 posters he went up against were more representative of the mainstream sentiment of HL and they split the vote.

3. The silent bloc who resents the "liberal elitist" majority all voted for him out of resistance and spite.
