Only one I like in this reboot so far is Anthony A lol. Burn Notice dude too "anti-woke" and the captain is awkward. DA guy is alright I guess but he aint no Jack McCoy or Cutter for that matter.

Yall niccas trippin' off that Organized Crime though. They def shouldn't have bought Wheatley back though. His story was over.

I think last night show was pretty good.

However I feel like Anthony Anderson is the best character they have. He carries the show. His conedy/sarcasm is classic L&O.

His partner is kinda just annoying.

Also, the lieutenant is cast wrong. She doesn't even match their walk.

I rarely complain about an actors performance, but she's not a good fit.

Overall it is okay.

Anthony Anderson only signed a one-year deal so he won't be coming back.

Interesting

It was always going to be a one season appearance for him when it was first announced. It made total sense seeing as he didn't have anything lined up right away after Blackish and they announced the revival on short notice, so they didn't have the time to go out and do any major casting for his role.

I read a few months ago he was open to returning...

I didn't realize AA only had a year contract..I was excited for this to come back..huge law and order universe fan..I like the new lt, she's no cragen or van Buren.. i actually didn't connect with AA as much this season...I'm a little indifferent to Donovan's character...I kinda see what they are trying to do...the new da grew on me... definitely not Mike cutter either ...I'll be tuning in next season... hopefully it finds it's footing...

I still love svu, new characters and all...and organized crime has been great, imo.

I'm like the only person that doesn't want Benson and stabler to get together...

AA probably thought the shyt was going to get cancelled after one season.

Probably wasn't motivated enough to extend the contract.

Law and Order is a cash cow for NBC. It was always going to get more than a one season run. I can believe that he just didn't want to do the TV thing long term again and run the risk of getting typecast in that role.

Didn't know this. He was the best actor on the show & it was good that they were able to bring him back for some continuity. I don't know if the script was wrong or the actors couldn't pull off the subtlety, but something felt off this year. The DA and AA's partner seemed kind of over the top, when they tried to introduce certain topics. Hopefully they do a better job this year, because I don't remember the cast from the spinoffs (Los Angeles & Chicago Justice) having that issue.

There's something strange going on with all of those Law and Order shows that they're being tight lipped about. The joint with Stabler is already on its 5th showrunner and it's only about to start its 3rd season and that's not even counting SVU and the chick that they essentially fired for whatever reason. Hopefully there's some better and more consistent writers in the shows this season.

Jesse L Martin is back on NBC now and with SAG now allowing actors to be on multiple shows at once, it wouldn’t surprise me if they tried to find a way to bring him back on the show for an appearance here and there.

Anyone watch the 3 part opener with all the Law & Orders..."Gimme Shelter"?

I thought it was good even though it was focused on the Ukraine-Russia war propaganda bullshyt.
