He should have left it at the Curry comment and stop . Just digging himself a hole and shooting himself in the foot at this point
No he's not. The only people that keep saying that are media types and people who dont either like to read the entire conversation or people that can't understand context when someone speaks on something. in addition yall keep getting trolled by the media daily. How many click bait aka Watch bait titles do they have to hit yall with for yall to just read the title or headline and think"oh NO....." Stop it. learn to pay attention to detail.
Ball reiterated the entire point. Bron was wrong. for one i have a funny feeling bron like most of yall only caught the headlines. and never listened to what he said .
He wasn't talking down on bron or shaq. How many times does he have to say it or I have to repeat it.
lets go over this again. What part of what he said was UNTRUE? NOTHING.
Lets go over this again.
Bron is a superstar among superstars. Legend status same for shaq.
I'll ask yall again. How many times in nba history that you remember a player that was a major superstar have a son or sons and those sons or son ended up as great as their father? from what I know. NEVER. that has NEVER EVER happened. some guys kids have been decent. some have been complete trash in college and never made it to the league. some have been solid in college and trash in the league. dont give me steph curry. his pops was good. but not a superstar among superstars. klay's dad was very good. but not a superstar among superstars like bron and shaq. kobe's dad was good too from what i've heard. but he wasn't a star among stars.
So the odds of say shaq's kids and brons sons becoming as good as their fathers is like winning the powerball 3 times in a row. can it happen? Sure. Will it happen? most likely HECK NO. And there's a reason for that. #1 they have to get the lucky Genes of their fathers. because most of these guys are not marrying super tall ladies that were Ex-athletes. Lavar intentionally hooked up with his wife who's a giant size chick who played some type of sport in college i believe. its like Yao Mings parents were put together in china on purpose to hopefully produce a great athlete. which they did. his parents are very tall too. not as tall as him. but they're both tall atheletes. so that gives you a higher chance to get so called Great Athletic genes as well as the size/length of at least one of your parents. This will not be the case for most superstars kids.
But we've seen shaqs and brons sons. they seem to have their fathers size, and maybe even some of their athletic ability. i dont know if its as freakish as shaqs or brons for their sizes. we shall see. so they passed the first test.
now its time to LIVE UP to and DESIRE TO BE as great a player as your father was even under the microscope of "You aint as good as your daddy." All the same media people calling lavar crazy for saying it. will be the ones killing bron's sons and shaqs sons when they miss a shot or blow a layup. not lavar. Lavar is talking about intense pressure their kids will have that other kids like the ball sons will not.
Now the younger ball sons have more pressure on them then Lonzo did. now they have to live up to their big brother. You see how this works.
But because lavar wasnt good after high school. he never made the league and never was a famous mega star where he was away from home as much as a shaq and bron while his boys were growing up. this is what he said. This is why he had so much time to train his sons up like this. He's basically saying he has the cheat code as long as the kids get the genes of an athlete. you need to have the time to push those kids. superstars dont have that kind of open time. they are being superstars themselves. practicing to maintain that status and making business moves to boot. lavar was straight training the kids. thats about it.
the last part is that the kids have to DESIRE it for themselves. right now it looks like all of lavar's kids desire to be nba players and to be great nba players. but that could change next year since they are still young.(not talking lonzo). We dont even know if shaqs or brons kids will love hoop like they do today, 3 years from now. they are super young. even if they do. who's training them? cause it can't be bron. bron is playing and travelling. he can only get it in with his sons when he gets time. the rest is him paying other people to do it. will that work? Maybe. other players kids have had that elite training and havent turned out to be as good as their superstar fathers. so we havent seen that pan out either.
SO nothing lavar said was false or meant to talk down on bron/shaq or their sons. it was a realistic view of how things are for lavar and bron and shaq. when you're a great star like them. you have to sacrifice friends and family time. everyone knows this. dont act like it aint true.
