Republicans are bringing up bills about that continually in order to make it an issue and make ignorant people like you think it's their focus. Democrats introduce bills about improving infrastructure and economic situations of normal citizens, Republicans vote against that legislation and never have to answer for it because they tell ignorant people like you that all they are doing is focusing on the things Republicans say they are.

Democrats lose because they don't accomplish what they say they want. That leaves them in the position of having to respond to the bullshyt that Republicans bring up. If they had lowered prescription drug costs, lowered child care costs, increased the minimum wage and added vision and dental care to Medicare nobody would give a fukk about these talking points because they would see democrats improved their lives.
