Maybe you need to do some research, Bob from Tenjo Tenge, is the definition of badass. Afro (obvious) pretty much carries the anime and is voiced by the OG Sam Jackson. and one of the biggest bad asses in anime; Killer Bee.

Are they stereotypes? of course they are, but the Japanese don't do it in an insulting manner, unless you think being god-like when it comes to; swordplay, martial arts, mysticism, is racist. We'll exclude Mr. Popo and Jynx and the Japanese have made fun of themselves countless times.

i feel the same way but i have to say Hajime is growing on me alot

especially the humor where kurokos can be real over the top, hajime is grounded
