Late Pass: Kuroko's Basketball is a top 3 anime for me

one of the big themes during the show was how the more physically gifted players were often the laziest on the court

that included Murasakibara

tbh i played 2 years of basketball in grade school and i do remember the extremely tall cats in 7th-8th grade, more often than not they rarely went hard unless they absolutely had too. This was suburbs of NJ so these werent tough teams. I understood the message sent by the artist

as far as "Dad's" appearance, this is one of the few animes that didnt portray black people to be hot dog lipped minstrel shows its rare

being that the show is in japan, i wanna say you only see a few

im pretty sure the others are as extras on the street ball circuit but i havent read the manga yet

That cat Haizaki was a total scumbag and tried to throw a slick one on my boy Aomine but he wasn't having it

Before the anime dropped I thought he was gonna be black. They drew him that way in the manga.

Slam Dunk was the originator for alot of these but I haven't seen it in awhile.

Show is trash. They always winning with plot work despite the odds. The whole anime and basketball shyt is really a joke to begin with it. Most overrated anime next to Monster, and steins gate

Can't let this slide either for some reason. Monster doesn't even get brought up enough to be overrated, if anything it is criminally underrated for how little it's mentioned even though it's done well on TV in America and is popular in adaption talks with major people. Steins Gate was wack to me though.

That's what I said about Moyasimon; an anime about a boy who can see microbes, and there I stood, watching all the episodes, wanting more. Now I'm not saying KB is the same, however it is this era's Eyeshield 23(Football anime). The thing to understand is that most of these sports anime's are of high quality and use a huge number of people in said animation teams. The other thing to note, is that if you've ever seen a Stephen Chow film, its the best to compare it to. Sure its a silly aspect, but when you add special effects, glory poses, and some backstory, even a manga about soccer can be good.

However for me, the very first episode had me facepalming. Its even worse if you know the rules of basketball. The main character's ability is laughable when you try to envision it in real life. If you can look passed that its an anime that might be taking itself a little too seriously, but worth a watch just for the animation quality alone.

Trust me I said the same thing and by the 2nd episode I was hooked. The strategy used to find a teams weakness despite their strengths (even though they are superhuman strengths) is what appeals to me. It's like Itachi from Naruto saying every jutsu has a weakness. Same rule applies to these teams.

It's actually real good and even teaches u bout baseball things that people don't know who are casual or new people to the game and the strategy in it is real nice

I started one piece late too the game and was like fukk that's 500ish eps I gotta watch I binged that in a month
