shyt is straight :lawd: status. Anyone know why they didn't follow the exact storyline/characters as the comics? And :wtf: @ how they're handling Tyreese so far, hes my favorite character in the comics.

They fukked Andrea up too. In a bad way. The comic is overall just better in everything. Show is still good though.
it seems in the comic, more fukked up shyt happens than in the show. So far, its just constant death and despair. I love it. But forreal, they better fix this tyreese shyt because that's fukking stupid how they're handling him in the show so far. Andrea is much cooler in the comics. Her and Dale are weird together lol. I just don't understand how the writers decided what to keep and what to change. Seems kind of arbitrary. I'm guessing they didn't think a direct translation of the comics would work for a mainstream audience?

I know people are killed differently and at different times than the comics to keep with the surprise factor.

yep, I recently started reading them. it's crazy cause I was flying through them, then at one point I saw "5 years of Walking Dead". it's just crazy that in a few hours I read a story that others had to wait 5 years to unfold. thank you based interwebs :blessed:

it's kinda cool reading it after seeing the show. I can kinda understand the differences. for one thing (and trying to avoid spoilers), the comic involves a lot more children dying, and I think we all know why that might not fly on tv

Yep. I agree with everything you said. I think a frame for frame adaptation may be too much doom and gloom and death.

The comics are way better than the show. I tell my friends who watch the show that they need to read the comics because they are on a whole other level. I understand why the show doesn't follow the comics because they want to surprise even those of us who have read the comics. I have read all the way up to the current issue and I am thinking about going back and re-reading them again. I did not start reading them until after I saw season one of the show, but in a span of like 3 or 4 days I was caught up because I could not stop reading them down once I started.

yea the comics are better than the show but u gotta give the show some props for making the ppl that read the comics surprised by some of the shyt......as for why they didnt do the show "exactly" like the comic the simple answer is they couldnt on network tv, u cant do rape, u cant decapitate "humans", and the andrea, dale relationship wouldnt come off right on the show and most likely no one but the comic book fans would like it.....i do agree on the tyreese issue tho cuz as soon as he ended up in woodbury and seemed like he was gon help out the governor i was like :wtf: how they gon do that to my favorite character in the comic :what:...i think if they hadnt kept shane around for so long tyreese would've been implemented sooner and everything would've worked out nicer
