it was only sold digitally though, nobody expected it to sell a mill, if it would be released physical and digital at the same time, i would have hit like 700k first week probably

and being 100 percent real this album had no real promotion outside the internet hype still bump every song on it

no, I def remember nikkas reveling in WTT as if it were a "never before never again Prince meets MJ" event. in actuality the release of it confused most people outside of the internet with the staggered opening and most retail chains didnt get the CD version until weeks later. In fact I think the first week the CD went on sale physical it did like 140k. C4 trounced it in digital and it was released on a SUNDAY.

Def Jam is smart though however for announcing the tour along with the album...and giving away the CD "free" with your ticket.

i dont think people understand though is only a few people NOT on the internet anymore...granted all they know is they can get mixtapes on datpiff but they are on the internet and anyone in the fukking world could have bought it on itunes...come on, a grandma could have bought it digitally first week.

breh i dont knw in real life who has brought anything off itunes(besides me, i brought cole world just to support ) people who are online for the most part stay on twitter or facebook and download free music off the internet

and all the old people i knw is to put they card number on the internet

wit all that being said i dont think it would have much more than it did if was in stores all at once, they didnt have a moster single or didnt even promote of the internet

white people buy things off itunes, well someone must, look at their numbers. im just sayin the "only digital release" isn't an excuse when anyone can and does use itunes every single day. and yeah they didn't have a huge single, the rocket ship one or whatever should have been, i bet theyre soooo tight it never took off and they had to record that shyt for nothing.
