Had the chance to meet Last Emp, when I was a kid, Summer '96. My boy produced "Keep On" and "Meditation" for him. We all went up to WNYU to give it to DJ Mayhem, so he could play it on the radio. People went crazy. I had both tracks on a Maxell cassette and would play them for everybody in school back then. I was like dude's unofficial street team, going around the city playing those two tracks for mad people on my Walkman. LOL!!
Super dope artist. I think the Aftermath move kinda derailed things for him because before that, you couldn't tell us that he wasn't going to be Hip Hop's chosen one. He's one of those MC's I always wanted to see get the accolades and respect they deserved.
