Does everyone but me know how this shyt worked? How was it a given that the Lakers had a top 4 pick after the Wolves got 11? shyt, 3 of the top 4 picks were determined by the time we got to the 8th pick. What am I missin’?

The way the lottery works is EVERY lottery team has a shot at a top 4 spot. (Was only Top 3 last year). The worst three teams has an equal percentage chance at either 4 spots and the better the record after that the smaller the percentage chance. So the lakers had the 11th worst record, which meant they had something like a 3% chance at a top 4 pick. Or they ran the risk of having each of the 4 teams behind them jump them. So they could only have picks 1-4, or picks 11-15. Meaning if they pick 12, is because the team right behind them jumped to the top 4. If they picked 13, 2 teams behind them jumped to the top 4. So when pick 11 rolled up and their name wasn’t called, it’s because they were a top 4 team.

Silver lining is we were the only bottom 4 team to get jumped the least. Only 2 teams jumped us (not the lakers). While 3 teams jumped the other 3 bottom 4 teams (Cavs, Suns and Bulls).

Nah, unless we're moving up for Zion it's not worth it. I'd rather take my chances with Fiz developing DSJ who can be a similar player while we stick at 3 with whoever stands out from Barrett/Culver/Garland. Not only that, Memphis does have Conley on a monster of a contract for two more seasons, so Morant slipping isn't completely out of the cards. In that case I'd be calling the Suns immediately who were already rumored to like him more than Zion even and seeing what they'll offer to move up.

But we did have our own Knicks type of luck and came out ok. RJ is a good prospect

Also we came into this season legit bad, the plan was we make the late lottery by riding Kanter and Tim. We probably loss 10 games due to tanking and all the rest due to bad talent.
