He say why? I think he still may stay, if they don’t win chances go up of him leaving I think.
He said he thinks KD wants his own team (GS is Curry's team and Klay's team to a lesser extent), Perk said he's been trying to get KD to return home (The Wizards/DC) but he's not interested in that.

Believe that as well. He seems over Golden State and it will never be his project, it'll be Steph, Klay and Draymond. He looks mentally checked out.

I can't see him staying, could see him with the Clippers or here.

So the rumors about him want his own are probably true then. If that’s the case he needs a team that’s only a superstar or two from winning, that’s not us. And damn sure ain’t Wizards. dude is so conflicted for no damn reason, he had his own team and left to get a chip when they weren’t far off from really winning.

Old Brooklyn
:whoa::whoa:I know I'm on the verge of getting negged for constantly bringing this up but, it's just so fascinating to me...

With the strong work ethic, seemingly great work environment and the ability to CHANGE NY by potentially being the player to truly lap the Knicks by going to Brooklyn and making them a real competitor, I don't see why the Brooklyn Nets wouldn't be the most tempting Eastern conference organization for him. :ld:

From a business standpoint?

Brooklyn has the edge that old money Manhattan doesn't. And even if it is dry in Brooklyn, Manhattan IS right there.

The very neutral colors of the Nets are WAY more forgiving than our blue and orange. I have the biggest pride in my team and my logos but, fashion wise, shyt is 'Sgust unless you're going for a vintage 90s windbreaker and high top air forces look.

From a media standpoint?

He'd instantly become the top story - feel good story, mind you - and considering how thirsty the media is to shyt on the Knicks, he'd be used as ammunition against the Knicks more times than the media criticizing him.

Even with Durant, going to Brooklyn wouldn't be seen as a "WELL, HE'S IN NY, HE'D BETTER MAKE IT WORTH THE MONEY!" type of thing. It would be like playing with house money, still.

From a team/organization standpoint?

:francis: Royal and Trier are good spokesmen, I guess. And he'd probably feel comfortable with his brehs around but, the Nets seem to have NO DRAMA, NO NONSENSE and NO DIVA shyt. They are just playing ball and overachieving because they "WANT IT".

EVEN THOUGH THIS YEAR THE NETS OWN THEIR PICK, they still didn't take the foot off the gas and tank. Philly, Toronto, Wizards(at the time), Bucks, Celtics and Pacers(at the time) all were very dream crushing answers to the possibility of the Nets thinking they can take advantage of a weak East - don't tell me y'all really thought Nets management thought they'd be able to win something.

No one figured this group would be so solid - that means ALOT of people in the organization from support staff to players to coaches to FO are doing something RIGHT.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Knicks brehs need to really think of a PLAN B. Only way I see Durant coming here is, if in some way, Durant's team has truly already agreed to an under the table deal and his honor wouldn't let him reneg on that.

Otherwise, if he truly is undecided...spooky.

@DPresidential thats why I’m telling people to temper expectations. We being real, Brooklyn is the better destination of the 2 teams. You get all the benefits of NYC. The team already in a compete mode, they have an offense system, New York Undercover looking forreal, a coach that is good, actual player development, smart management, Prigioni:mjcry:. They just 2 pieces away from making real noise.

If KD comes here the team needs a complete overhaul to make a serious run.

The Nets will never be the Knicks

Them mfs ranked last in attendance with a young exciting team. KD ain’t going there.

We can easily turn our fortunes around with KD, another max, one of Zion/RJ/Morant, some smart veteran signings or trades, and Mitch/Trier/Dotson/Knox.

This. If we miss out in KD, I think it'll be to someone on the West Coast.

I think both Brooklyn and New York will both be equally as exciting especially if we get a top 2. Say we don't get KD but we get 2 top 10 free agents, we'll have a high chance of making the playoffs. We're only missing a few pieces which are leaders. This will not be like Lebron on the Lakers.

The other thing is we can do something similar to what Miami did, which is to tell KD to pick out who he wants to play with and throw the bag at them. KD wants Kyrie, we can help that happen or Kemba or any other Max. The scary bit for me is if KD wants AD at all costs...not that you can go wrong with say Kyrie, KD, AD; but if we had to give up Zion/Mitch/2021 FRP; My yearning for homegrown stars would make that a bitter pill (2021 specifically because of the one and done rule going away so that's projecting to be a STACKED class).
