This was the best case scenario for a KP trade. Sure KP is worth a star in return, but that messes up the tank, and it's not like *insert star player name here* with the team the Knicks have right now would do shyt. We cleared cap for this summer to try and chase KD/Kyrie/Klay/Butler/Kawhi while maintaining the tank, and got DSJ too No way to assess until after this offseason. There's so much possibilities, this kind of trade was the one of the best routes, probably 2nd only to not trading KP at all
