If we can get 2 max contract players and a top 2 pick, we win the trade. Theres a lot of ifs tho. Gotta see how it plays out.

I ain't happy about this, but there are obvious ways that this could break really well and we won't know until the offseason.

For now, this clears out a lot of room for the young guns. Hopefully a couple of other moves happen too (Vonleh and Mudiay out for more draft capital; waive DJ and Wes) and then we at least get to close the season watching nothing but young up and comers on reasonable cost controlled contracts. The offseason is gonna be stressful AF, but watching combinations of Frank, DSJ, Knox, Mitch, Trier, Dot and even cats like Kornet and Allen ought to be some fun since they can all tangibly improve without much pressure over their minutes getting cut any more.

Yes it's a bitter pill to swallow. But best case scenario, Perry and Mills who are both well connected around the league know something that we don't. Worst case scenario, I'm making a full heel turn on the recaps for the 2019/2020 season.

Secondly, I remember when I was clowned for suggesting that KP would want to leave NY, and yet the reason he wanted out was because of the losing, which I SAID would be a factor if he did leave. Not everyone wants to waste their seasons playing for ping pong balls.

Knicks are going to have a difficult sell for any potential free agents this summer. No cornerstone franchise player, and a bunch of young cats.

It will be the biggest lick of the offseason if they pull that shyt off and the hype alone puts them back in the spotlight.

But a lot has to go right and they can’t throw one of those max deals at whoever on some knee jerk reaction shyt. all they control right these second is how trash they will be the rest of the year so they can pull Zion in on a rookie deal. But all of these pieces falling together will do wonders for the Knicks in the NY sports landscape.

If this shyt fails completely they will be a fukking joke forever and Dolan really needs to think about turning this team over to an ownership group that actually cares about putting a contender on the court.
