As long as those 2 first rounders aren’t protected the Knicks actually came out looking good.

I don’t see Dallas making the playoffs next year even with a healthy KP and definitely not without KP.

We can use those draft picks and ours to possibly pursue AD. Or use those two draft picks as trade bait for solid veterans to fill out the roster especially if any of the two superstars are coming.

The options are endless, I still think we could of got better deals from other teams especially teams with potential top 5 picks but I’m whatever about it at this point

You can't fix bad ownership, but on the face I'm really not up in arms. There always seemed to be acrimony between the Knicks FO and Porzingis and people. He didn't really wanna be here and I think being able to clear cap room + some firsts has major value.

I think KP is a really good player but let's be honest, how good is a team that has KP as it's best player?
No disrespect but I don’t wanna hear this from any of y’all. It went from KP being the cornerstone to pair up with a superstar to this? Nah. This hurts y’all big time. The Knicks sold y’all bad weed. It went from doing it right to “fukk this rebuild” shyt in a matter of months.

Nope. If this doesn’t work change religions

I've been in a daze the last hour or so. I should never read this type of shyt at work. Ever. Given the timeline, clearly more trades are in the works.

My stance?

Waive DJ and Wes, call up some more G League scrubs to take their spot for the rest of the season.

Find another set of expirings and do what we know you're going to do now that Porzingis is gone - trade Ntilikina. Package him with Kanter and Lance and Mudiay and/or Dotson and/or DSJ. Get more picks, 2019 or future 1sts and/or 2nds, doesn't matter. We're asset building now and he is a depreciating asset. Crazy length at each position is no longer the strength without a KP/Mitch/Frank youth core. Load up on future picks and cap space, just like you did for this deal.

Wherever we land in the draft, use most if not all of those assets to trade for a 2nd pick in the top 5 - preferably top 3.

Get 2 of the top 5 picks, along with Mitch, Trier, Knox as your new core. Zion and Barrett, Reddish or Morant, I don't care. You get two lotto picks THIS YEAR out of this deal. I don't care about the future picks, let other teams get excited about that. Get two picks THIS YEAR with these assets. Phoenix may very well be a good partner for that. Make it happen.

And last? You fukking sign KD and Kawhi. You fukking make this right.

You fukking show us that it was worth it. Make it fukking right.

I wouldnt be surprised if in order to trade away Kanter we throw in Frank too at this rate :mjcry:

Let them. It's Perry and Mills' team now. It's over. He's gone. Mudiay, Burke, Frank AND DSJ? Frank is gone. Get an assets for him. Load up. Stockpile picks. Make another move into the lottery. Only reasonable step now. They've uprooted the foundation - clean the whole fukking place now.

My initial shock has run its course, and I am back to being excited about our future.

Those extra draft picks will definitely be used to trade for some quality player on a sinking team looking to rebuild...

Outside shot those picks end up being lottery picks. Even after this trade, Dallas is still in the west and competition is still stiff over there, and will be for a while. After the new draft odds, late lotto picks have more value now. Regardless of where the picks end up, we know the Knicks can scout their asses off, so we're gonna end up with good value out of them.
