Damn breh, leave Fiz and his son alone:mjgrin:
Nope This why I dislike Fiz we keep
losing with mudiay starting his defense isn’t great and he doesn’t get held accountable. We losing time to try a lineup starting frank again especially when the beginning of games we suck

I was being sarcastic, I’m not a fan of the favoritism and lack of accountability either.

I'm torn on this ish fam. I'm more frustrated about Tim last night than Mudiay but I feel you on that. THJ and Mud were really bad defensively to start the game and Timmy never picked it up. Mud at least was grabbing boards and made some nice passes between the ugly ones (I also think his pace is helpful for Knox); but he's regressed to the mean on a lot of things. He's starting to miss at the basket again, three ball not close to as good and defense becoming more sporadic. Timmy though...yikes, 43 minutes last night to go 6/18 while being demonstrably frustrated on defense on plays that were kinda his own fault. I really want him benched when he tries to pass the buck defensively on his own poor decisions or placement. The shooting is frustrating enough, the poor defense is inexcusable.

That said...The young players are all developing nicely. Mitch has had a couple of quieter games to be honest but that's gonna happen for a player with such rawness to his game. Knox as a starter surprised me by being assertive and making his own touches when guys looked him off early (first two plays he involved in were off his own rebounds where he took it his damned self and made things happen). Frank last night wasn't deterred by early misses and turnovers. That ish is exciting to see. I even low key like what Fiz tried to do for Luke last night, running this giant dude through some screens to get open looks (sidenote: Backscreens for bigs started a week or two ago but are becoming more frequent and diverse and I LOVE that ish). But it's the way Knox handled the start that really stood out to me, there might be something to this whole thing where Fiz gives the kids a taste...benches them...makes them fight back in and then puts them out there knowing that they'll lose time quick if they don't keep a chip on their shoulders. I'm gonna try to be patient about it at least until we make an inevitable trade or two for clearing the logjams.

That said, no excuse for Timmy's 43 minutes last night and I want to see a move back to emphasizing defense as we hit the new year.

My recap for last night is KFS format and up with them. Still hype to be a contributor because of the quality they put out and charitable things they've done with the attention they get. Show some love fam! :salute:

The two main bits I'm sure yall are wondering about,
After becoming one of the youngest players in history to drop 25 and 15; Kevin Knox earned his place in the starting line-up and delivered again. This time Knox chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds with an efficient 7/15 shooting and 3/6 from long rang.

The rookie didn’t let his new role deter him from attacking and the rebound total is impressive in a line-up with Enes Kanter and Noah Vonleh chasing every loose ball. The best part of this was how Knox performed in the closing minutes of the game. The 19-year old rose to the occasion making plays on both ends of the floor when opportunity came his way.

Frank Ntilikina is the latest young player to respond to DNP’s from David Fizdale by playing his best basketball of the season. Frank had some struggles protecting the ball and missed a couple of shots early, but he never let it affect his assertiveness. The aggressive approach paid dividends with Frank scoring 16 points, 3 assists and 3 rebounds on 6/13 from the field and 2/4 from three. Ntilikina flashed scoring ability in a variety of ways; knocking down multiple mid and long range jumpers with a couple of scattered finishes inside. The French Prince even picked up an assist off of a post-up. We know what Frank can provide as a defender, but he’s just scratching the surface when it comes to offensive upside.
