I've learned from my defending of polarizing players from yesteryear...:hubie:

I am going to make a point to not even lurk RealGM & reddit's Knicks pages...brehs over there are honestly still saying that Timmy's contract is still a WOAT contract signing in basketball.:mindblown:

Wow, it's fascinating just how biased people can be. :what:

His contract is far from the worst. If he can just reduce the unnecessary 3-point attempts and bad shots by 2 or 3 game then I will be okay with everything else he does including his not so good defense.

I think this is kind of harsh but I can't argue w/ the assessment, overall.

I do think that his defensive effort has to be praised even though he has a long way to go as a defensive presence.

9. The hiccups of Mario Hezonja
For something of a gunner, Hezonja has a weird habit of passing up open catch-and-shoot triples to hold the ball and then ... attempt much more difficult contested 3s:

Enes Kanter shockingly have zero chance at stopping teams. (Fizdale will sometimes slot Lance Thomas alongside them, and his tweener versatility plugs some holes.)

The Knicks have been fun! Frank Ntilikina's development on and off the ball is a crucial night-to-night subplot. (He's a beast on defense already.) Mitchell Robinson has provided some bounce, and Noah Vonleh is comfortable switching onto little guys. (Broader team defense remains a problem for him.) Tim Hardaway Jr. is scoring in bunches. Damyean Dotson can play. Allonzo Trier gets buckets.

For Hezonja to join in, he has to get out of his own head.

Frank got up for his first game against DSJ last year and got praise from Carlisle. I fully expect him to bounce back from last game offensively and put the clamps on DSJ. The buyers remorse in that thread was pure comedy. That disrespect for Frank though:pacspit:I'm fin to throw Frank's head on the lil reese "i'm a show you" gif and post it there.
