End the discussion.

The scariest part is he IS going to be better offensively.

The scariest shyt is this...

With Mitch, Trier & Knox...if even 2 out of 3 grow into their potential... we should be even happier that we picked up Frank for his skill set.

I'm more confident than I ever was about Donovan Mitchell - who very few people were thinking about on draft night - being the only player that gives me regret about Frank.

And Mitch and Knox didn't even make their marks yet fam! Frank, Trier, Mitch, Knox...they're all gonna be developing all year on rookie contracts and I can see how each one fits on the court with KP. Add near max cap space and another first round player in 2019; this is easily the brightest future the Knicks have had in my adult life.

:ufdup: you tripping breh. Don’t know what game you were watching. It’s game 1 and of course the fellas gonna have some jitters. I mean they went 0-9 at the start of the game. They got settled and took it from there. Frank didn’t have to score to be effective this game. Everyone else was carrying the load. My man was out there facilitating, locking down on defense etc. maybe you need to rewatch. If your idea of being effective is only scoring then I don’t know what to tell you. I guarantee Atlanta scores more without frank in there. Hardaway had questionable shot selection but he did his thing and scored 31. Dude drove to the basket which is what we want out of him! Don’t know what else you want from them on an opening night, they scored +120 I expected them to lose.

Show me where I said this.

My comments on Frank's ability to score was in response to another post about his improved ability to score.

At no point did I ever suggest what you said.

Regarding your comments about Timmy, I understand that.:ehh:

He does need to show consistency. That being said, did you feel like he was one dimensional? :ld:

If we don't even look at his point total, his dedication to playing both sides of the ball & having good energy & showing out as a leader made me feel proud of him.

I don't know, breh.:shaq2:

Look at Knox & look at Frank last night.:patrice:

I'm happy for both of these kids but one had a lukewarm offensive night and although the effort was there, didn't really support the team in other ways. The other had a lukewarm offensive night but was active in almost every facet of the game defensively & in playmaking.:manny:

We had Timmy, Trier and Kanter scoring. The Knicks scored over 120 points. Scoring from Knox & Frank was not what we needed LAST NIGHT. Frank absolutely did what he needed to do last night to be an integral part of a successful squad.

What exactly did you want from him yesterday?:dwillhuh:

I want him to take control of the offense. He was drafted to be a point guard. Be the point guard.

Im getting tired of this garbage take some of you nikkas are using. You know how many players that have been drafted didnt end up being what they were suppose to be?

As long as Franks not a bust i have no problems with the pick, id still take him over Smith Jr

You only know one way of thinking. Your train of thought just keeps going in circles. Learn to improvise. Hold this neg faggit :scust:

Frank's too unselfish. And that's not a good thing. Hardaway, Trier, and Burke are not sitting around and waiting for shots to come to them. They're going for theirs. I know Frank is more of a team-oriented player but he has to force the issue a couple times to expand his game. You can't grow better offensively if you don't take any shots.
Lol nope. He is inconsistent. A flash here or there of his offensive potential is meaningless. He hasn't proven anything. Other than the fact that the other guards don't respect his ability to insert himself into the offense. Can he actually score 10 points in an NBA game on a consistent basis?
So you want him to force his game on offense instead of letting it come to him naturally?:ohhh: Would you rather him be inefficient at 7/22 with 15 points instead of facilitating? You can’t grow offensively if you take a whole bunch of unnecessary shots. This is game 1. I rather have guards not respect his offense and when they not expecting it he sinks a dagger 3 pointer that leads us to victory.:shaq:

Excellent write up as usual @storyteller

Loved the Fizdale observations the most. Most telling part about the Knicks this season as compared to last is that we finally see the team working on shyt that we fans notice in real time. We in just 2 pre season games people have pointed out that Burke and Trier don’t work and I don’t think they played a minute together tonight. Would have took Jeff until February to make that change.

Something people are pointing out on Knicks twitter, we might regret giving Trier a 2 Way and not just signing him to the Mitchell contract outright. He could end up costing us more than we’d want to pay him in the next 40 days (signing him to anything over 1 million per hurts FA money)

Respect fam and many thanks for sure, always appreciate the feedback from you guys.

Great point about how quick Fiz has been to adjust. Some heads on Realgm were saying THJ started driving out of the first timeout and thinking Fiz musta said something too. This is the sort of attention to detail to can go a long way and it's really promising. Fiz is gonna earn himself more rope if he keeps doing the things a coach should because we've been through so many coaches that didn't.

That Trier conversation is interesting. I'm hoping they already have some numbers worked out and are just waiting to see if they can trade someone before they announce the agreement but an agent can change plans quick if Trier is pumping in 15 ppg off the bench each night for a month.

Nice win last night, always nice to win the home opener and give the fans something to be happy about. Couple thoughts on the game;

Pros:
- seven players in double figures. Depth is nice as were the rotations by Fiz.
- Vonleh and Hezonja hopefully pan out as reclamation projects. Both looked good last night. Hezonja playing good defense.
- Defense leading to offense. Haven't seen that shyt since Woodson.
- Trier a sparkplug off the bench. Always appreciated.
- Strong game for THJR

Ehhh:
- Knox rookie jitters. Not worried. Wanted to show out and ball. He'll get it together as the games go.
- Robinson's ankle; hopefully it's nothing too serious.
- Sluggish start to the 3rd. 3Q Knicks :lupe::aicmon:

Cons:
- Ron Baker is still a Knick:aicmon::birdman::mindblown::camby:
