I'm still surprised he went undrafted.

Check this out fam. He coulda been picked but he wanted the Knicks badly enough to turn others down. That confidence is impressive to me fam.

“But even before I worked out for them, we were in real communication with them, and we really thought I was going to be the pick at 36. It was looking like that was what was going to happen, and then a guy like Mitch Robinson falls to 36 and the priority for the team was ‘big first’ so they went with him. Totally understandable.

“And then I had a chance to be picked from about 41 and on and they were all places that I didn’t think were a great fit, so we turned down pretty much everybody after that and decided that we were going to go with the Knicks because it was the best fit for me in the first place.”

Trier signed a two-way contract with the Knicks, which guarantees him $77,250 in his rookie season and potentially up to $385,000, as he splits time between the G League and NBA. (He can be on the NBA roster for up to 45 days.)

We might owe Fizdale if he works out too.

“Coach (David Fizdale) was really high on me,” said Trier, who scored 15 points in his Summer League debut. “It was just a great staff. … We just thought it was going to be a great place to come in and start my journey to the NBA. So instead of hearing my name called on draft night … I decided to hold off and go to a place that fits me right.

:salute::salute::salute:I couldn't stand him at PG in summer league, but you know what...As an offball guard, he can fill it up and as a second ball handler he could work out.

Idk about y’all, but Frank is the player I’m most excited to see this season.

“Yeah. I think going taking that lap through the NBA, going through the bumps and bruises, getting a summer league under his belt, coming in here in peak condition, in great condition, helped him keep up with the game and also I think it slowed the game down for him,” Fizdale said. “It always helps when you get into great shape.

“He does a little bit of everything right. He doesn’t hurt you. He makes his open shots. He defends every situation the right way. He rarely turns the ball over. He’s a great organizer. He’s always getting guys where they're supposed to be, whether he has the ball in his hands or he’s off the ball. So I really have been happy with the way he’s attacking.”

“I think what I’ve worked on this summer helped me be more comfortable on the court, allowed myself to feel that the game slowed down a little bit,” Ntilikina said. “Last year was kind of fast, I wasn’t used to the pace of the game. Now with my abilities and what I’ve worked on and of course will keep working on, from all my goals, it will slow down even more and I’ll be even more comfortable.”

I'm expecting this to be a big year of development for Frank.
