3 black brothers sharing a stage with professionalism and black excellence explaining the dynamics of developing a team is just....
:wow:
At the end of the interview, patting each other on the back saying, "you did a good job brother".

Yea, we making history. First Obama, then 2021 all black front office nba championship team.
:mjcry:
Word, this what we need for a bunch of black children growing up to see that they don’t have to be pigeonholed into what they may believe(and what society does push them to) society wants them to be. They’ve got the same choices as everyone else. It’s beautiful:mjcry:

Then during the Knicks Town Hall the other day all 3 of them said their inspiration and idols were their parents or grandparents, shows the impact of seeing success and hardworking people in your life.

Just some highlights of the presser and honestly I was distracted so I'm sure I missed plenty, feel free to add:
. Biggest comments to me were Mills and Perry saying that Dolan is completely comfortable with the sticking to the plan. He'll only want input if they make a move to drastically change the plans. That means the rebuild is the course that keeps Dolan happy for now.

. Fiz mentioned that Knox and Mitch are expected to be impact players this year but wouldn't guarantee them starting spots. I LOVE that he mentioned both in that same sentence (my feelings about Kanter are well documented). Dude put the pressure on the kids to earn their piece but set his expectations for them where they know they really have an opportunity.

. Mills still not looking to trade assets. Someone went the roundabout way like "would you trade players for a player that might help" and they basically shut it down but said they would always hear offers out. That's exactly the approach I want.

. There's a visible chemistry between the three. They pass off questions to the most relevant guy to answer and share mic time; they talk like they have inside jokes already; and they seem comfortable being open with the media. It's not just refreshing, this is the kind of chemistry you find in front offices that stick and find success. It's not a guarantee or anything but it's an extremely promising sign.

. A lot of this was fluff though or repetition of what's already been said. The Town Hall questions were more in depth and candid (no professional responsibilities certainly helps there), plus they allowed for deeper answers. I'm pretty glad these guys gave the fans the first batch of questions rather than the media.

I’m 100% fine with this approach as I have no general issue with losing as long as the young guys develop and if we get a high pick great and if we sneak into the playoffs great . I never liked the idea of just tanking to get the highest pick
When unlike football It isn’t guaranteed and instills a losing mindset
Exactly!

The time wasted on argument about this issue makes me just :mindblown:

Real shyt.

Real shyt :wow::mjcry:

The fact that Mills and Scott told Fiz...

"We don't tank." And the fact that Fiz felt the need to SAY IT in the presser.

And the cherry on top, to say, we know what we are dealing with with young players but we are going to teach them to play every game to win.

Brehs... This is what I fukking wanted. This is great shyt.:salute:

It also doesn't make as much sense. With the rule changes going into effect you could very easily be the worse team record wise and come away with pick 5.

So yeah work with the youth, play hard, and hope the lotto balls go our way.

Cam is 1A but I have a feeling he goes 3-5 with RJ, potentially Zion, and Either Nas or Romeo going high since they all have a team of their own to shine on.

I like Scott Perry man. The kind of like where you just know someone is competent in what they're doing. In his case he still got that ethnic drawl in his voice yet is as eloquent as any cac. Want him as our GM :birdman:
He's ours now my nikka. Shoo!

Rumor: Tom Thibodeau would rather leave Timberwolves than trade Jimmy Butler for young players, picks

No clue about the dude who broke this or if it's actually worth paying attention to but some solid outlets have jumped on. Thibs rumored to want out if they dump Butler for youth and picks to reset. Tim Hardaway and Lance, still not a solution but you never know. Butler definitely wants out and Wiggins is absolutely having a back and forth with friggin' Stephen Jackson. KAT was rumored to be waiting on the Butler situation before he signs his extension but idk about all that noise and now this rumor is out there too. It's straight up chaos.

And people shyt on JD all the time.
Crazy to me.
Look at his track record for putting brothers and sisters in front office role.
It's pretty good actually .
And he promised to step back and he totally did . Even after those same people asked him to step in with pJAx.

Lowkey ownership might have told him to resign. It's chaos out there, and trading for vets doesn't make sense with Wiggins and KT still both being young.

Also on another topic that Knox leading Mitch story lowkey is pointing out the fact that Mitch seems young as hell when he talks. Knox might be younger but is probably a lot more mature. He could likely use the guidance when it comes to keeping focused too.

Quite the contrary. I don't think they plan to tank but in fact plan to surprise many doubters. They will still get a top 5 pick next year and I think their goal is to be underrated for when the season starts. Knox, Hardaway, Frank, Burke and Mitch are hungry. Specifically, Knox and Mitch are gonna be making some noticeable highlights on ESPN. On another note, the east is sleeping on Chicago. They have a Porzingas on their team as well as Zach Lavine and pursuing Butler.
Lauri is trash on defense. Can't compare to kp

Man, if this is true it’s crazy considering this team was on the up in terms of youth and being competitive for the next round once the warriors are done. Life really come at you fast:wow:

He's actually not trash, he's average to below average and was a lot better than advertised his rookie year defensively. Still he'll never be close to KP on that end.

Son killed us he has my respect. 33 points, 10 boards, 8 threes+one nasty poster dunk over Kanter. :picard:
