Lmao, they changed the rules so more teams have higher chances at winning the lottery... so why not?
:philjacksonlol2:True.... But 38 wins is a lot of wins. Considering the fact that a handful of teams will be in the late 10’s to early 20’s range. And, I’m sure the new rules aren’t giving equal odds to all lottery teams. I think it’s something like equal odds to the top three picks only.

Truthfully Id be stunned if we won more than 30 games next season
THJR and Kanter as the only two scoring options
THJR trying to create of the dribble
Mudiay
Hezonja
Rookies playing against grown men and hitting the wall after 30 games
Lance doing a Draymond Green impression

It's going to be a long season :francis:

How are Timmy and Kanter out only scoring options with a rookie Knox on this squad, breh?

I'm not expecting too much production from Knox this season. Most of those moves that worked in the summer league won't fly during the season. He won't be able to drive to the basket and get calls, he will be figured out pretty quick if he can't finish with his right hand. Also it's not like he's coming into an organized, already winning team where he can just slot in and play his part like Tatum did in Boston.

  • Dont forget Treyverson :troll:, nah seriously. He might not be as efficient as last season but he will get buckets, bet on that.
  • Meh.....This isnt so bad......in spurts. Despite mediocre handles, Timmy can get downhill and create for himself and/or others. Probably want him to do so more in open court, out in transition than in half court sets. Def feel a lot more comfortable with THJr leading a fast break than LFT :scusthov:As long as Timmy plays within himself and improves his shot selection he'll be fine, I believe Fizzy will be able to reign him in and set him straight if he slacks on defense or chucks up bad shots
  • Yeah I dont have much hope for Mudiay either, maybe he surprises, probably not. If not, oh well, he's a young cheap expiring. Nothing gained but nothing lost either :yeshrug:
  • Hezonja - same as above on Mudiay :manny:
  • Yes, the youth will have ups n downs as all young players do...that rookie wall probably gets hit around the 50 game mark/around All-Star break as opposed to 30 games tho.
  • Yeah I aint tryin to see that shyt neither :scust:

How will the losses pile up, imo:

Kanter & THJr defensively :scust:

Sticking with Mudiay too long :francis:

Burke-Hardaway backcourt defensively :scusthov:

Lance Thomas playin major rotational mins :hhh:

Young'uns strugglin durin stretch/stretches of the season, its what young players and young teams do :francis::yeshrug:

Will most likely be a bad road team again :beli:

Inability to close out games, again due to youth :shaq2:

Yeah its gunna be a rough one but it'll be tolerable/even enjoyable as long as the young'uns are leading the charge

Thought it was his left he had trouble finishin with....anyways, think as a 3rd or 4th scoring option behind Kanter, THJr and possibly Burke that Knox will get buckets, will struggle with efficiency tho and will have moments defensively where he looks lost. Typical rookie shyt. He'll play well for a rookie but wont necessarily light the world on fire

Yes, I meant left.

I hope I'm 100% wrong and he lights it up the whole season but I was just more pointing out that if we're relying on a rookie to play a major role we don't have to worry about messing up our lottery chances

Y'all know it's bad when I've got zero opinion on a player. I see that he's a g-league allstar and I saw a couple of Celtics fans say that they wouldn't have minded him on a two way contract if they'd had space...that's about all I've got. Hopefully he's another body to put pressure on guys like Dotson and Baker to show up and perform; but I doubt he's more than that.

Truthfully Id be stunned if we won more than 30 games next season

I'd put the over/under at 28 games. The East is gonna be weak so overachieving isn't completely out of the realm but I don't think we've got the firepower at least until the unicorn is back. If KP's medical outlook is faster than expected, we could be looking at another missed opportunity to pick top 5 though.
