Maaaaan some of you Knickas act like you carried Frank in your womb for 9 months then suffered for 72 hours of labor to deliver him :what:

The boy can be criticized! The "he's only 19" shyt is tired. It's a young league. Everybody is coming in at 18 or 19. He's playing against his peers. The league is so young now dudes at 30 can't get long term deals and have to consider coming off the bench to have a role on a team after being career starters. Knox is 18. Looking polished and aggressive.

All I wanted to see from Frank yesterday was more fire and more aggression. That woulda been progress to me regardless of how the box score would've ended up looking. Instead I got more of the same passive shyt that he did all last season. What's worse was it was against summer league cats. How you don't have fire against them?? Look how the 18 year old Knox came out. To make a statement. Look how Robinson came out. On some "yeah I ain't play college last year and I sound like I'm 10...but I ain't no hoe, knickas".

And :whoa: with this lock down defender shyt cuz Trae Young had 21 and 11. :francis: The fact that he didn't come out to dispel his biggest knock against summer league comp is disturbing. I haven't seen anything to date that this dude is the pg of the future. I know he still wasn't looking explosive in his workout vids this summer but damn son. At least try some of those moves in the game or why bother??

And I just want to hammer the point home that he was a wasted 8th pick. The KP was drafted as a project at 4 doesn't hold weight here for a few reasons. One, KP's projection was All star/superstar. Frank has never ever been projected as anything more than a bigger George Hill . Two, nobody available after he was drafted made using the #4 pick on KP look risky. With Smith, Monk, and Mitchell still on the board, gambling on Frenchy was too much. shyt they might as well have gambled on DSJ's knees if that's the case. I won't mention Kuzma cuz that's a hindsight kinda thing. And like already stated in the thread, why waste an 8th pick in a guard heavy draft on a guard that can't give you anything offensively. 2nd rounders make careers out of defense only. Trade up or trade down but why use the pick on a projected fringe rotation player? :gucci:

If the kid proves me wrong so be it. I want him to be good. But I do not see what yall see. Tall Patrick Beverly is nothing to get excited about. And shyt even Bev is more aggressive on both ends! :skip:

20 pages of daps I gotta catch up now. I miss one day and this page is in a frenzy.

From every highlight I saw and every tweet I read shows Knox definitely is the truth and we picked the right player. I can’t believe the kid is only 18, by the time he gets adjusted to the league he’ll only be approaching the age of 21.

This team has a promising future. Hopefully we don’t make any changes for short term playoff success

LOL

No one is saying he is beyond criticism. Or saying he had good game yesterday, or defending the game he had.

Just sayin wait till he's had more experience than one rookie NBA season + 1 SL game before declaring him a bust :dead:

How is that so unreasonable for some of you :why:

The bolded was level headed, the rest of your post was just so :snoop: I wont even bother :beli:

@JMurder said it best:
Idk who you're arguing with. Literally every poster in here said they weren't happy with how Frank played... Including me. No one's saying he shouldn't be criticized... We're saying it's too early to antagonize his selection
It's just to early to say it's the wrong pick. Everybody learns on a different curve. If he sucked yesterday then it is what it is it:manny: but a day into his first summer league, and not a day into his second season, feels to early to write him off, that's all. Also, KP was definitely considered a project by everyone at the time of the draft. Google the words "Porzingis" and "project" and mad articles from around the draft pop up, all referring to KP as a project. It's just revisionist history to say he wasn't.

Saying Frank's ceiling is a bigger George Hill or Jrue Holiday isn't a bad thing at all, that's a very high ceiling for a player in fact. That's an all-star type considering Jrue was an All-Star once. Speaking personally, finding a guy who can be a pretty good offensive player, and switch from 1-3 and maybe even 4 at times, is just as alluring as finding the next 20ppg scorer. Frank might fall short of being that kind of guy, he might fall waaaay short of it considering he has a long ways to go offensively, but most of us knew the risks when he was picked and thought the risk was worth it.

Go head and give it a shot anyway. You've got time on your hands. :sas1:

My post is speaking to the fact that any time anyone is realistic about what Frank is and probably will be, 90% of you dudes start talking that age/give em time shyt. How much time does he need to show he can attack the rim or beat a defender off the dribble? It really takes 2 or 3 seasons to show a flash of that? Just a lil flash? :camby:

There is nothing realistic abt absolute statements on a 19 y/o player. Absolutely nothing

Enjoy the rest of your evening, breh. Peace
