Frank had a up n down game......great end to the game tho. Made some nice passes, hit some shots, pushed the pace and ofc the stellar defense we've become accustomed to
His lack of aggressiveness and inability to take advantage of Trey on the other end were frustrating
Passing the ball way to early in the shot clock, or passing the ball as soon as he got past the half court line
Not tryin to be too reactionary off of 1 SL game for a 2nd year player thats not even 20 yet, but yeah idk how you coax out timidness in someone's playing style. One thing I did notice was when the pace got faster Frank played better, looked less mechanical and more in the flow of the game.
IDK, those expecting a dramatic leap this year may come away disappointed
Im ok with that, with most projects you dont start seein much return on investment till their 3rd or 4th years anyway
Think Frank takes the proverbial leap in his 3rd season
Things I'll be looking for with Frank this upcoming season:
- More aggressive on the offensive end (take more shots man, go to the basket, etc)
- Better shooting splits
- Better decision making as the lead guard i.e, when to shoot vs when to pass
Any other improvements made I'll consider gravy
