We tend to overrate our players quite a bit, even before Cousins fell into their laps GSW wasn't rushing to sign Kyle , teams don't have cap space to give out big contracts (the ones that do are trying to tank), if you're a big man that can't shoot threes you're shyt out of luck in 2018, you better be a top defender and rim runner and even still you're fukked.

Julius Randle got a 2 year $18M and we thought in this thread he might get a max. Dwight got the same money as Kyle Still no news about Capella and Nurkic

Meanwhile Doug McDermott got 3 years $22M Ilyasova 3 years $21M (not fully guaranteed though).

O’Quinn was a name a lot of smart nba writers linked to GS. Over Dwight. He fit everything they wanted in that role. Tough, younger thanbDavid West and a good passer. Boogie literally fell out fo the sky and they couldn’t resist it.

What’s the bare minimum you would give up for him? To me it’s Burke, Lance, Timmy and 2 seconds. We finally have the upper hand in these situations cause guys WANT to come here and we’re gonna a have cap space. We don’t NEED a star right now and can gladly take our chances over the summer.

That seems fair I would do that, maybe try to finesse them with no picks but I wouldn’t be mad at it

While i agree, we can’t just get them without getting rid of Noah, Lee and probably Timmy AND Lance. Plus, Lillard and say, KD is better than Kyrie and Jimmy.

I wouldn't give up Burke, maybe Lance Thomas or Lee. Burke was scoring 27 pts off the bench. Stupid decisions like giving away Robinson, Crawford, Z Bo for Melo is what killed the knicks, must we repeat ourselves? Lilliard is a chucker. Why not keep our good young players?
