Next year's FA class is gonna be so stacked that it's insane. Not just star players but that second tier is shaping up too. First you add Durant and Cousins to next year's FA top tier. Then you got Jordan, Randle, Reddikk, Ariza, Rondo, KCP, Payton, Ed Davis, Stephenson, Gay and Mcgee all adding themselves into the mix as high to low quality role players...there's gonna be a ton of teams with cap but also a LOT of free agents. These guys just added themselves to the FA pool that everyone was already gearing up for. It's gonna be crazy. With Cousins taking that cheap deal, I'm curious just how low the offers for a Jabari Parker are. He's one I'd have taken a flier on for a sub 10 milli contract if we had cap space (one year deal, not risking 2019 on him).

Paying Hezonja what we did could actually bite us in the ass but at least we had competition for him. Unlike the Lakers who signed guys immediately that nobody wanted. Signed McGee probably directly lead to the boogie signing.

What position did Hezonja play last year most effectively?

If you rock him at stretch 4, everything will open up but he doesn't have the strength for most four's. So it's a small ball solution moreso than anything. At the 3 he becomes a bit less dynamic but he can shoot, is good in transition and is less exploitable defensively (but bare in mind that he's just not a very good defensive player). I think he could give you a dynamic offensive combination with Knox paired as 3/4. Both guys are underrated passers and both guys move really well off the ball; defensively at least one of them would need to step up for it to be more than a second unit sparkplug tandem though. Hezonja's upside is pretty damned good but the attainable aspect is quality bench scorer for the time being and anything after that is bonus.

There's also this tidbit I saw someone quoting on realgm,
Herzonja would go to start a total of 30 games for Orlando last season. Over those 30 contests, he averaged 14.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.8 3-pointers and 1.5 steals, while shooting 46.0% from the floor, 37.1% from downtown and 83.3% from the free-throw stripe. That equates to a True Shooting Percentage of 57.1%. To put that in perspective, no Knick non-center posted a TS% higher than 56.4% last season.

Always be wary of limited sample size but his starts weren't just garbage time. They happened around late December when teams were still playing hard 24/7 and his minutes dipped a bit as the Magic got healthy wings to eat into his time.

I’m shocked no one snatched up KOQ yet:patrice:
Cousins legit fukked up everyone's money.

Teams are really going to try to low ball him even though Cousins is coming off of an achilles tear.

I actually could see him sign a 2-3 year deal with NY
