At the end of the day, the Knicks roster wasnt appealing enough for the top free agents to come to. The Knicks are basically doing what Brooklyn has been doing for the past few years in how they are constructing this roster. And you never know.. they might get the other Ball brother

Gibson is still a highly productive player and good on both ends
2020 free agent class is garbage, so I’m not understanding this logic at all. Were they hoping to sign Draymond? Again, you HAVE to spend at least 90% of your salary cap, so unless some of you are still expecting Kawhi to walk through that door, how do you propose we spend this money?
Taj is better than Lance Thomas so that’s a plus, I guess.

Someone has to carry the scoring load. We laughed at Timmy but he was asked to do that and got wrecked.
Then after the trade Knox tried to do it (cause who else could.....) and got the reputation as a scrub rookie due to stats when his game passes the eye test. Asking RJ to do it alongside Knox could be a fiasco as well.
I think it comes down to the Kawhi meeting that likely won’t work but they do due diligence. Then it’s either a DLo (maybe he gets better), a wolves pick for Teague, or some role players.
