They need to learn from the AD situation and build a roster by committee. How the league hasn't been going in that direction in general based on GS surprises me. Philly and Boston are trying to replicate it, Phoenix is getting there and more teams really need to get on that wave.
AD is already out. Why do the same thing to Zion however many years from now? Build a roster stacked with young talent, maybe trade for a major piece down the line to put them over the top. They're letting pride fukk with them, but if they're really about winning and sustaining it, they need to recognize FAs won't be lining up to go there and having a young core will take them where they need to get.
People might say I'm wild for it but they'll be better off for it in the long run. I'm all for the Knicks doing the same thing. If the Knicks could help facilitate the trade for AD and get the 4th pick and no Zion, I'd be down for that too. But NO needs to consider their options for real.
