folks drafting off of hype built up in the preps/college can have teams making faulty assessments on who's who*

What hype did RJ build up that wasn't based on skill and ability?

Instead of saying what you're saying, why don't you provide facts to show that ppl are making fault assessments. Every player in the draft has faults and NO ONE is proven until they experience NBA action. Why should we believe that you aren't making faulty assessments?
My shyt is, RJ MIGHT end up being the better of the two, but it’s not ridiculous to say that Cam is RIGHT there with him. So if the difference between the players is close enough, drafting Cam for his skill set over RJ isn’t ridiculous.

With all that said, in my eyes, Cam is the second best player in this draft. So you can skip all that BPA noise, this shyt is all subjective.
Only Cam argument I can fukk with

Honestly RJ or Cam will do us no wrong. If we flipped a coin and picked, we'd still have a good choice.

Someone in the comments of that scouting video compared Barrett to Michael Redd, I never made that comp but it doesn't seem that off. I don't think Barrett is gonna be the shooter Redd is, but after looking up the stats it seems like Redd wasn't that great of a shooter in college either. People forget that Redd was dumb nice when he was on the Bucks:

I don’t get why you keep saying he doesn’t fit with the Knicks . We suck breh I’m not not drafting rj because Dotson and trier are there instead RJ MITCH AND KNOX become the pieces if we don’t get big FA

You don't think Cam, Knox and Mitch could become pieces? I chose Cam solely for his defense and passing ability but I think a healthy Dennis Smith Jr. Can be as effective on the assist.

gotta plan to win whether next season or further down the road.........winning is a team exercise

rj can chuck it up no doubt but on the nights it's someone else's turn to eat can he sprinkle a silent 20+ & contribute outside just forcing up shots¿

he plays thirsty & that can give you a kobe type player but kobe type players can hijack a offense & don't adjust well when they have to get out the way

cam should've went somewhere where he'd been featured on offense & showcase his play but he stayed & played the soldier role.........i rather build & draft a bunch of soldiers than capping ourselves with rj as the #1 option

i believe that cam can put up shots like a #1 & torch a scoreboard but he can also stepback & do dirt.........but as i said right now we are all just placing bets it will be a while before we get the answers

No I don’t want cam for his passing and defense when we need elite scorers. As well I don’t want another frank
we'll see

see in my scenario RJ is either the main option after we don’t get major fa or one of them. We aren’t drafting a role player or 3 and d guy with this pick we are hoping to get a franchise caliber player

I don’t see Redd at all people been trying to force that comparison with the closest physically imposing retro lefty that gets buckets

I see DeMar DeRozan, Rodney Hood, and a lil D’Angelo Russell in him

how far do you see the knicks going with rj as the #1 option¿
But RJ is a better playmaker than Cam

And Cam himself chucked early shot clock threes, pull ups, and not making the extra pass
rj had the most opportunities to make plays & his tunnel vision stood out more to me than how many times he made the right play instead of trying to handle it himself........how many times did he have us ready to throw the remote at the tv during the tournament¿ ha

cam chucking & not making early passes imma chalk up to son starving & tryna scrape some scraps off the plate ha
