Let's be honest none of those decades were great and this past decade actually might be the most consistent.

Yeah every decade looks better in retrospect. Either because those films stand the test of time, like the stuff in the 70s, or it’s from when you were a kid, like the stuff in the 80s and 90s. But a lot of those 80s best pictures are :camby:

Also to whomever said it, I can’t get with the 90s being the best decade for film.

You can do this for every decade since the beginning of the oscars. There is only a handful of winners of best picture, which are truly great movies that stood the test of time :yeshrug:

For, me. I think it's the 60's. I love 80's movies because I'm an 0's baby, but when I think about greatness, I watch a lot of 60's movies.

I’ve only seen 4 from the past 10 years, but even I know there’s not really a film people will call classic. :ld:

Gladiator, Departed, Beautiful Mind and NCFOM. Those 4 films shyt on every winner this past decade. :camby:
