What made it even worse was that Alc, a producer, came through and absolutely dropped a monster verse with no fukk ups

That had him looking crazy, I always despised that too cool for freestyles attitude certain rappers have.

It doesnt make you look like a G or nothing, just has you looking corny and unprofessional, like you dont have no love for the essence of the game.
Isn’t Alc is a rapper first producer second? Plus he been rapping since the 90’s :comeon:

I don’t take no points off Larry or add any to Alc

Al definitely started as a rapper but I still don't think of him as a rapper primarily and a producer 2nd. We all know he's a producer first and foremost. I'd expect any successful full time rapper to be able to out rap him.

I love Larry, but I understand that critique on a rapping/emceeing level.

Man Larry gets kind of monotonous to me over a full project, lost a bit of respect for him seeing that Sway interview where Larry struggled to rap a pre-written verse over a beat he picked himself.

There's some cool joints on here, fukking with the Joey/Currensy joint and the one with Ev at the moment.

:mjlol: That shyt was kind of embarrassing. He should've either come fully prepared or just not done it at all.

But I don't give a damn about a Larry freestyle. If you're fan of his music, I imagine his bars are one of the least things you care about.

He ain't no great rapper in the traditional sense, but dude has a great deal of talent and presence. He knows how to make dope music, which is something alot of dope emcees struggle with.

Yeah he should of just spat an old verse over a random beat instead of trying to front.

You're right though I know he's not trying to be a goat level emcee so I don't take too many points off him. But I still expect a rapper to be able to rap :yeshrug:

Boldy fast becoming once of my fav MCs

Action also is in my list of top tier MCs from the 2010 decade ... his presence and unique vocab with the witty delivery is just so dope and hes been dong it for so long now,
Boldy is one of my favs right now, The Price Of Tea in China is insane

Man, Orange Village might be one of my favorite Al beats of all time.

The rapping on this project barely holds me. Which is crazy because I really love the rapping on albums like Spaceships, Mr Midnight, Keep Going, Out the Trunk, etc. The rapping on some joints really holds me. Turkish Cotton is stupid. Margie's Candy Store is stupid. Other joints it falls flat sometimes.

I know being a dope rapper isn't Larry's appeal, but I definitely lose some interest on this album on the final 3rd of the tracklist.

Still a dope album, but at the same time this is probably the least I've played an Alc collab album the first weekend that it's been out. With the recent Alc albums with Boldy, Roc, Gibbs, Conway, Benny, and Spitta, I burned the fukk out of those the first week they were out. This one I've probably listened to once a day, but I'm not running it into the ground like I usually do. I'm sure I'll run this a lot this spring and summer though.

Make of all that what you will :manny: I feel kind of conflicted on this album. But still...good job, Larry.
