His older work was way more uptempo. I feel like it's this newer wave of LJ fans and detractors that think he's some kind of nyquil rapper.

He's just a motivational speaker over good production at this point. His projects used to be way more engaging.
He's always dropped the slow flow over a slow beat on all of his album's....he's been doing this....this album is just like this the entire way through....I have no problems with it as the production is excellent and if you have a good sound system in your car this shouldn't be putting you to sleep at all....

Album is smooth as fukk. I'm about half way through on Art Talk and this thing goes.

Larry sounds like prime Wiz with a sprinkle of Curren$y and the smoothness and melody of a Polyester the saint.

Then you got Alchemist who sounds like he is only getting better as a producer at this point and is damn near madlib level good. I never thought he'd top some of the classic work he's done for prodigy and mob deep or even we gone make it but he has imo. He also hasn't sold out to do it but makes the stuff he wants even when me as a fan can't appreciate it or enjoy it, he does it his way.

Overall have to sit it with it more but well done. Definitely motivational for me.

I got a 12” JL in a custom made to manufacturer's specs box tuned at 30hz being run by a 1200w amp in my trunk. Got a separate alpine amp running my front mids and highs. I almost fell asleep at the wheel this morning playing this album.

This is what's running the all my (polk/hertz) door speakers, there's an alpine 4 channel amp hiding behind the lc7i

My deck is stock, but I have an adapter that replaced my cd changer with a digital input cord that also allows me to use the steering wheel controls to change the volume and switch tracks on my phone for a nice stealth install. Did all the wiring myself

I don't think it's a bad album, it just isn't for me, and I've been following him for a while now.

I feel this shyt, some smooth motivational player shyt. Almost like a smooth jazz or something. Not too upbeat but don't feel hiphop always has to be that way. It ain't NyQuil like J Coles 4 your eyes only could be at times and Larry is actually rapping and laying down solid hooks.

What more could you want? nikkas on a yacht off the pacific type shyt aye aye aye a.

this more of a personal thing. i like ad-libs, sayings, things artists add

when he said the keep it going. wouldve loved the "keep going Larry" or "good job" drop

Personal Classic already I’m a weed head this shyt hits perfectly :hubie:

This is his Covert Coup if you know you know
Big facts! Might like this shyt better than the one Alc did with Gibbs. Might be close man but Larry was in his bag here.

I got to go back and listen to some of his other works.

while I wouldve like Sean to continue with the flow from the beginning

I said dude is so overrated.. and I still think he is, but a whole album by alchemist offsets everything I think. This album bomb.

he like a West coast version of Westside Gunn as far as the vibe.

Big Sean kilt his verse... MY GAWD!
