That's why lists don't matter. People bring in all kinds of different arguments to prove their point. There's the business/sales argument, cultural impact, and I'd rather just talk about the quality of the music. People will say Jay is the best rapper and site his business ventures
There's always people outside the top 5 who are as good or better than those in it but either they get left out for political reasons or a lack of popularity. People should just say who's their personal favorites and stop acting like their list is definitive.

His older work was way more uptempo. I feel like it's this newer wave of LJ fans and detractors that think he's some kind of nyquil rapper.
He's just a motivational speaker over good production at this point. His projects used to be way more engaging.

This. Honestly brehs this shyt putting me to sleep. Some of Alc's beats on here are too slow. Larry June flow sound like he on that lean or heroin.
Don't know how yall can listen to this dude or cats like Boldy with their Nuyquil flows are straight trash and rhymes all off key and shyt, can't stay on beat.
