Orange Print was his most commercial sounding album. He really hasn't released anything new since then. Even "2 P'z In A Pod" was done 4-5 years ago and they just randomly released it. I'll wait until this new joint before I start trashing this nikka's music and giving him that Dom Kennedy treatment, lol. I'll say this though, as much as Larry talks that independent shyt, I think he wants to go completely mainstream. Empire is clearly putting a lot of marketing dollars into his solo projects now.

I didn't even care for the orange print. Haven't really been feeling a majority of his stuff since Cruise USA tbh, and even that one was kind of stretching it for me. He's still always good for a few good tracks on every album, but it seems like he's going to being a more singles driven artist and trying to appease to too many markets on each release. I used to just be able to vibe out to his albums from front to back, but now I'm just adding one or two tracks from every other drop to my playlists. I guess a good thing never lasts forever, but at least Payroll doesn't seem to be letting up anytime soon.

I feel you. I admit I barely listen to Larry now outside of certain tracks. I'm fukking with Payroll Giovanni 99.9% of the time. As a listener, once I notice an artist stop giving a fukk about the quality of their work then I just fall back. If you don't give a fukk, I don't give a fukk either lol. Been listen to Payroll for years and never heard a wack verse or even a wack bar from him.

Yea, Payroll my most streamed artist. We were on a road trip and sometime during the last verse of “Decent” my wife was like, “who’s this?”
