why you feel that way??
I've seen other people out coach him numerous times. His substitution patterns were terrible. He hardly changed them no matter how bad or well a player was performing. He loved to play Fisher even when he was hurting us on both ends.

Went to Finals with 3 different teams and one of them had marginal talent except for one freak. Larry is a great coach but Phil got 11 rings. 11 RINGS SON!!!
Dude had Jordan, Shaq, Kobe and Pippen all in their primes. :what:

:what:

I said PRIME. Phil coached those players in their prime years.
i think players are more important than coaches to but you cant take away his credit because he ended up having 3 of the GOAT players for all we know he helped them go from good to great. MJ was just a scorer who couldnt geat detroit, kobe kept getting swept to utah and throwing up air balls, shaq got swept by houston.. and lets not forget about the Triangle..

:comeon:

Kobe was getting swept and throwing up air balls when he was 18...

Shaq started winning rings when Kobe turned into one of the best players in the league.

MJ was not just a great scorer. Dude won DPOY 3 years before Phil even coached him. :comeon: He just had no help.

Hey Man. I hear ya. But dude went to 13 championships. Its hard to wrap my mind around that because it probably won't ever happen again. Even though he had tremendous players, he won like he had tremendous players.

Phil kind of timed it right too. Bird and Isiah were on there way out too which made it the perfect time to start the takeover.

Look your a fellow laker fan so I know you have good taste, but :come on: fact is fact and he may be "overrated" but how can you prove there was a better coach when he has 11 rings, shyt erik spolstra has 3 of the best players in the leauge well two and a all star and they lost to fluck as dallas.. I know phil would not have let that heat team lose

Larry is a better defensive coach

But Phil lost like one series he shoulda won in his whole damn career. Where his team had more talent then the other, 2011 against Dallas.

47-2 with HCA

fukk that.

Phil lost another series he should have won, in 2004 against Detroit, who were coached by....... Larry Brown.
