Yeah that was them.

Here's one of the brothers during a promo test:

Aside from the Hughes Brothers a couple other AEW Dark folks were there too. I saw The Renegade Twins and Nikita Knight who have made multiple appearances on Dark.

Who’s the chick beside him?

Not saying Bubba is racist but I wonder of he fukks with D Vons sons like that? For whatever reason I never really picturedown the dudes being actual friends outside of wrestling... like were they calling him uncle Bubba when they were kids?

I think Bubba and DVon had a falling out a few years back.

Bubba was basically against keeping the Dudley Boyz together, which is the only way Vince would re-sign them. So when the contracts expired Bubba bounced and D-Von got a job backstage.

I think Bubba and DVon had a falling out a few years back.

Basically they cooled off on each other after Dudleys were last offered some sort of WWE deal. If I remember D-Von’s take correctly: they (well, Bubba) said they’d think it out. Months passed and there was a deadline, or rather they (WWE) just decided to say Fukk It and rescind the offer after Bubba’s bullshyting.

D-Von was like, “I’m still good, I actually Wanted to sign!” :mjcry::damn:Ultimately the ‘E was wiling to give my dawg a bone, but only in a non-wrestling capacity. D-Von signed because, why wouldn’t he? :manny:

D-Von felt he still had it in him, Bubba fukked him over out of a chance to re-sign as a wrestler (and maybe make more money) seemingly because Bubba felt the Dudleys should’ve been getting main event pushes instead of putting current teams over (D-Von had zero prob putting over new talent), they fell out. They still have the school but they don’t operate it as a duo, and of course they’re on separate paths at this point, and they don’t really speak like that ala DJ Paul and Juicy J.

This was one but I’ll add some unrelated shyt: Rodney Mack and Jazz were/is pissed because they were told by Johnny they’d have a “job for life” yet were fired shortly after. Man they must’ve kept it real, didn’t kiss ass, didn’t c00n, or just kept head down and did as told, but Vince clearly looked after certain Blacks long term (Booker, Truth, D-Von, etc). No knock on them Brothers, but Mack and Jazz could’ve been money too

^both Bubba and D-Von were correct on their stances. D-Von knew the Dudley Boyz name is what brought them back, was where the money was, and that they’d get more spotlight together than separately. Bubba knew that the Dudley Boyz would get stale very fast and that they’d consistently be used to put people over (both which happened), and had a singles character ready to go. The biggest problem was that despite Vince liking the Bully Ray character, it would directly contest with the [sham] Be A Star campaign. I have no problem with either guy’s stance.

The indie girls they hired are like 19 and 20 years old so they might make exceptions for younger ones.
