I'm familiar with the women who claimed Dorner was delusional, however it doesn't change the fact it's still considered gossip regardless of your personal viewpoint(s) on the matter.
Interesting comment I found on the LAtimes comments section.

Both my dad and I are psychiatrists. A few years ago he was asked to do forensic evaluations for police officers who were temporarily suspended for various reasons (ie discharging a weapon when they shouldn't). He found that the psychological makeup of these police officers was the same as many criminals. They were narcissistic, grandiose and some were even psychopathic. Those police officers had presumably been subject to "psychological tests" in order to gain entrance into the police force.
David, I agree with you that many police officers choose their career for the power and excitement, and particularly the excitement they get being powerful over other people. It makes me sick.
I see it all the time with how police officers treat citizens. The other day I was driving on the freeway in LA. Out of nowhere, a police officer on a motorcycle starting circling around a car in front of me. The car wasn't speeding and didn't appear to do anything wrong. He put on his lights, started tailgaiting the car, and flashing his lights. The car moved to the right to exit the freeway, with the police officer on his left side, essentially "pushing" him off the freeway. As soon as the car pulled off the freeway to pull over, the police officer spent on down the freeway. He wasn't even trying to pull the guy over! He was just messing with him to have some fun. Thanks LAPD.
Looks like many cops are delusional. IMO, human beings aren't designed to handle this type of power. I think history proves this.
