so this happened back in october :dead: the choice from all involved not to settle is a wild one ngl

For those who don't want to read, the suit basically alleges:

1. It was a "Purple and Teal Day at the Hive" event, advertized as a family-friendly event with a Hornets scrimmage. The fans were waiting in the employee entrance area after the event, hoping to meet players.

2. When LaMelo pulled out of the employee entrance and stopped at the light, the kids crowded around the car. LaMelo looked at the kids but didn't interact with them.

3. When the light turned green, LaMelo accelerated suddenly, hitting one of the kids on the way out. He then left the scene.

If he didn't stop after hitting the kid, it's pretty wild that he didn't settle.

Isn’t LaMelo living right next to Michael Jordan too? :mjlol:

Wizards just stopped being a terrible fukkery filled team 5 minutes ago now you all in the thread talking about "look at all these other teams with all these problems "

You sill got Kyle Kuzma and Jordan Poole on your team. Be careful. You aint safe yet.

Cats trade Bradley Beal for some second rounders now they on a soapbox talking about "couldn't be me though" :mjlol:

Horrible. Have to be smarter than that when kids are surrounding your car. It’s bad enough he didn’t give them the attention, he drove off not caring.

I remember the times at the old Yankee Stadium, as kids we used to surround player’s cars IN the team’s parking lot as they left, never did a player drive off and ignore any of us. If you didn’t get an autograph they would at least roll down the window and high five you. They understood it came with the territory. Melo seems like a prick and I hope he didn’t hurt shorty.

Remember, this is just the suit filing, we don't have proof it happened that way.

But if he "did" do it, then yeah, he's an enormous prick and could have caught charges if the family had wanted to go that route.

The Wizards have issues but besides Ryan Rollins stealing lotion and body wash from CVS, you can’t say the Wiz have guys dealing with lawsuits and criminal cases like the Hornets been having
