This is why sport talk is so terrible. Who did Browning beat in those games? Burrow wasn't healthy to start the season but when he finally started to look like himself again, he beat the Seahawk, 9ers, and Bills. And he nearly beat the Texans and Ravens right after that. That's why I never liked this thread cause Burrow is not the QB that people should have issue with.

Outside of the 49ers game, Burrow was ok to bad in the rest of those games.
Why does he get credit for nearly beating the Texans in a game where he threw 2 4th quarter INTs?
Why does he get credit for nearly beating the Ravens when he had 101 yards passing and Browning finished the game?

Why does Burrow get credit for almost beating the 8-6 Texans but Browning beat Indy who is 8-6 and 1-0 vs Houston? Also the 8-6 Jags?
Why does beating 7-7 Seattle matter but not 7-7 Vikings?

I think it's terrible to assign wins to QBs period, that goes for Burrow and Browing, but Browning's resume is just as good as Burrow's.
Burrow is easily the better QB and unfair to compare him while he's injured, but Browning stepping in and having success shows how talented their team is.

Every game Browning has played has been against a team over .500. He has 3 wins vs. teams that would make the playoffs if the season ended today.
Yes but those teams are not the teams Burrow beat. Your argument is that Browning is putting up comparable numbers when the competition he is facing is not the same.

I never said I agree with assigning wins to QBs. I only brought it up because of the tweet. They could have easily posted Browning numbers without bringing up Burrow. No one said the Bengals weren't talented. The tweet(and person who posted it) are trying to discredit what Burrow has done. The bolded could have been said without bringing Burrow into it.

Stats don’t tell the entire story:
3 games sample size comparison is not discrediting the years of productivity.

Beginning of the season Burrow playing on one leg.

A few games without Higgins.

To me it means given a limited run of games the Bengals offense can sustain a huge drop-off in QB talent. Ideally you want a system not too reliant on your starting QB (Lamar, Allen).

A lot of the discussion in this thread is:
-Lamar has more on his plate than Joe Burrow.
-Lamar is more valuable to the Ravens than Burrow is to the Bengals (that’s not a slight on Burrow)
-Stats do not tell the full story

Hopefully Browning’s performance thus far today (even without Chase) quiet’s @2legit narrative that he’s a better QB than Burrows.

He’s doing what he’s supposed to do in holding down the fort the best he can in the starting QB’s absence.

To be fair, Burrow has also had low scoring games. Didn't he lose to the browns 24-3 and the Titans 27-3 early in the season with Chase and Higgins playing.

Notice the emphasis on "thus far" in my original comment.

That poster has been emphasizing for weeks now that Browning is a better QB than Burrows, so let him stand on his own.
Burrow is cleary the better quaterback. And top 3 in the league. Don't let an nsecure Lamar fan get you bros.
