What we are saying is that people try to bring Lamar down to elevate Josh. If you believe he's the MVP this year, I have no arguments but this notion that Lamar shouldn't get it despite putting up historic numbers is insane, It's close enough that whoever wins it will be deserving.

He put up roughly 4800 total yards of offense and 43 total touchdowns to I think 9 picks with Hollywood Brown and Willie Snead as his best receivers

That’s because last year posters on here were saying that record was more important than numbers, so now that same logic is being used and people don’t want to hear it.

QB we’re putting up numbers last year, but their supporting cast was used in the argument against them and we can pull receipts on this site to show it.

Consistency gotta be kept and goalposts not be moved year to year.

Hell, if numbers are supporting to be more important than wins, then Burrow should be in the MVP discussion as well.

Nah, Steve Young had to win because the team was stacked and had a bunch of leftovers from the Montana era. If Young didn't play well and win a Super Bowl he was going to get the brunt of the criticism because the rest of the team like Rice was in place.

Peyton was criticized because of his own poor performance. He was abysmal in those Pats games. If he played well and the Pats still won, nobody would care...
