Yeah if we get Dwight Pau needs to be on the first thing smoking to Atlanta for Josh Smith and Teague or Harris.

SMH @ them saying they have concerns about Howards health. This is the same fukking team that gave Bynum an extension after a major knee injury.

We shouldn't care if Dwight will re-sign or not at this point. If he doesn't that should give us some cap space after next season. Probably have to rid ourselves of Pau to though.

So the Orlando Magic are interested in Lakers center Andrew Bynum?

It’s not necessarily a mutual romance.

According to a Yahoo! Sports report, the Magic have targeted Bynum in a potential trade for unhappy center Dwight Howard, who has been rumored to land on too many teams to count since last season began.

But the Lakers have a growing list of concerns about Howard, according to a person with knowledge of the team’s thinking.

How's that bulging disk in his back, the one that required surgery and forced him to miss the playoffs?

Will he actually sign a contract extension after indicating privately he does not want to play for the Lakers? The Lakers currently won’t accept a trade for him without getting more years tacked on to the one he has left (for $19.5 million).

Will he calm down? His demeanor irritated Orlando fans and led to nationwide criticism on how not to engineer one’s departure from a team.

The Lakers have no desire to take back additional salary in a trade for Howard. The Magic would want the Lakers to absorb small forward Hedo Turkoglu (two more years, $23.8 million) or shooting guard Jason Richardson (three more years, $18.6 million).

Turkoglu, by the way, is 33 years old. Richardson is 31.

Remember, these are the Lakers that let Lamar Odom go to Dallas for next to nothing and haven't exactly thrown cash at Ramon Sessions to re-sign their starting point guard in the first few days of free agency.

Finally, Orlando would have to make a financial commitment as well. Bynum wants assurance he is not a one-season rental. He has one more year and $16.1 million remaining on his contract. The Magic better be prepared to pay him now…or lose him in 12 months.

Howard to the Lakers? Not impossible. Just improbable.

:ohhh:

You guys can pretty much give up on Beasley for Gasol unless the Wolves decide they can't live without Gasol. Some random ass team like Phoenix could agree with Beasley today & kill that trade idea.

Why wouldn't he resign with y'all?

That makes no fukking sense for Dwight not to

reportedly It's because Dwight wants to be a player/GM and The Lakers don't play that shyt..

This the same team that told Shaq to kick rocks and called Kobe's bluff on his trade demands.

Lakers don't go for any bullshyt posturing.

so let's be real about this, the DH sweepstakes

Risks:

1) We trade bynum, he grows nuts finally and balls out of his mind and within a 1 to 2 years is the best center in the league beasting on everyone
2) We get howard, his injury is worse than has been speculated, and he's never the same
3) We get howard for one year then he bounces to ATL or some other place

Rewards:
1) we get Dwight here, and he falls in love with LA (who doesnt?), loves the area, the hollywood atmosphere and gets insane endorsements being in such a big city ,so he re-signs with the team, and it would eventually become his team because kobe is on the last leg of his career
2) we lose both bynum and dwight, but have a lot of cap space to re-tool (which we always do)

either way it's a risky proposition.

I say this though, they gotta make moves to show the fans they care about putting a title contending team on the floor, our current team is not beating OKC and probably not even the Spurs and the jazz will continue to improve as will the clippers

i say if there's any possibility of a MWP + BYNUM for DHOWARD + J RICHARDSON, sign the dotted line with a quickness, then go shop Pau for a beasley type or some picks and some good bench players and a midlevel pro for the PF spot

Why would Atlanta do that when they're CLEARLY trying to free up cap space?

The Hawks were offering the same trade a day ago but the Lakers wanted more than just Josh. Now that they have Harris Teague should be available. That Howard, Smith, Paul shyt aint happening in Atlanta.
