Lakers offseason thread: Renovation era

The new CBA is how it is because of teams like the Lakers. It is trash though.

The CBA is exactly what has this team fukked up...the CBA combined with the previous contracts given to Bynum and Gasol. Plus the fact that certain role players were brought in and they've done nothing BUT under perform.

Steve Blake in particular was looked at as a solid pick up and he's been horrible. Matt Barnes would actually be playing well at times but he'd get hurt and he'd become useless.

When Troy Murphy got playing time he actually did well on the offensive end but was a complete liability defensively.

McRoberts is a energy guy and nothing else.

Kapono isn't here anymore but I hope wherever he is he's in pain. Brought that bytch in to help spread the floor and I swear I only saw him hit 3 shots his entire stint with the team.

Sessions needs to grow a fukking pair.

Bruh I hate this whole fukking team aside from Kobe.

1) Sessions. nikka came in and was on some pg of the future type shyt. Mike Brown slowed him down but it's also his fault for not adjusting and being scared in the playoffs. His D is absolutely horrendous. Kobe had to guard Ty Lawson for fukks sake and shut him down in game 7.

2) Pau. He looked decent/good in the season then pulled a Pau 2011. I already know this fakkit will beast in the Olympics then blame fatigue when he's ass for the 2012-2013 season.

3) Blake. I hate him so much. I could spend a day ranting about this useless scrub.

4) Mike Brown. What a piece of shyt coach. He benched Goudelock because "it's not like he was averaging 14 ppg out there" and played Blake for 25 mins when he was dropping 0's across the stat sheet.

5) Bynum. He's talented but he lacks motivation. His only motivation is personal success. Winning rings at an early age really fukked the team over.

6) fukking bum ass Matt Barnes. I swear this nikka was 1-40 in the playoffs. He pulled another disappearing act in the playoffs. He's another Pau.

Only bench players we should keep are Jordan Hill and Ebanks. Glock too.

I can't even remember the rest of the roster because it's that shytty. I wish there was a reset button. Kobe making 30 mill a year is

But seriously though, Matt Barnes was injured. Before that he was playing well (arguably our best bench player). Same thing happened last year, dude got injured was never the same. If you want to blame Barnes for anything blame him for Ebanks not getting much play time. Yeah he should have been benched at that point in favor of Ebanks, but Mike Brown is a dumbass when it comes to his rotations. Seeing how desperately the team needed outside shooting Troy Murphy and Goudelock should of gotten more burn too.


Mike Brown is like a Bizzaro version of Mike D'Antoni.

There should have been something in the new CBA that allowed teams to restructure at least one contract on the books.

You're focusing too much on what Ron did offensively. Ron was NOT brought to the Lakers for his offense he was brought to the Lakers to play defense and had been doing that job. His first season here he played solid to great defense throughout the post season.

And no the Lakers wanted to resign Ariza but his bytch ass agent was trying to bleed the team dry for a guy who's nothing more than a role player. The Lakers will give what they feel is a fair offer and if you don't take it they'll tell you to fukk off.

The Lakers aren't going to trade Pau this year unless they get comparable or better talent in return. Trading Pau for Derrick Williams, Beasley, and Ridnour doesn't make this team better at all.

And truth be told, but Ron played pretty well in the last month or so of the season. When he went out with the suspension, he was playing his best ball all year, and carried that into the playoffs.

Can't say I'm not a bit pissed about Kobe playing in the Olympics though, especially considering nikkas younger than him got the sense to sit out and get rest.
