Where is this narrative that he won't be able to relate to players? From watching his content with players I don't see there being a communication barrier there that people keep bringing up. If anything I see the opposite

Talking on a podcast with a player and coaching a player are two different things. As a coach, you are a authority figure and to be viewed as such, you can't have the same friendly relationship that got you the podcast.

So is the nikka hired or not? fukk is "zeroing in"? How is that different from "frontrunner" which came out weeks ago? JJ knows his shyt. The issue isn't can he draw up plays, or make adjustments, or put in a good rotation. He'll be a rookie coach but I'm sure he'll figure that out.

The other part of being a coach is managing players and working with talent to play their best. He may have been doing that towards the end of his career, I dunno. But I think LA hiring another first time coach for this veteran squad is a mistake.

But if their main concern is to grab headlines and revenue. And if LeBron is content with just getting playoffs births then do it
