Last rumors I heard were saying Gallo don’t care about the money he want a ring.

Maybe turning down the trade to Miami because of money to only watch them make a Finals run changed his mind? Supposedly they wanted him to sign this weird contract extension like what Iggy got and that’s why the Miami didn’t go through.

Yeah he might be thinking twice. Unless you tryna buy a country or you bad with money just how many millions do you need? Especially if you don’t give your chance to at least attempt to experience the apex of your profession. Lots of players come to this point.

Still though, we are talking about someone leaving $40+ million on the table (that’s being generous) just to take the MLE? I just don’t see it.

I see a likely sign and trade scenario where he still gets his money while also going to a contender.

If all the teams are cash strapped for 21, you see if some of these dudes want to take a short term contract to win a championship like Derozen or Hardaway Jr. (unlikely but take a shot)
Joe Harris and Bertans probably will get nice contracts because they won't be asking for Derozen type money but go for it
Ibaka, Millsap and Thompson might just want to play for a winner
See if you can get a Dwight season out of Whiteside

Demar Derozen
Tim Hardaway Jr.
Joe Harris
Davis Bertans
Serge Ibaka
Paul Millsap
Tristan Thompson
Whiteside

Bertans has two previous ACL injuries, he’s not leaving money on the table nor should be. Ibaka has played himself into one last big contract, so I don’t see him leaving money on the table. Out of those names you mentioned, Millsap is the most likely scenario as I think he’s the odd man out in Denver.

one thing I see is that LAL and MIA will both have even BETTER rosters next year. everyone else will have to try and work their magic. MIA is almost guaranteed to pick up a nice player on a 1 year. gonna be a lot of big one-year deals being given out. THJ prob gonna end up on nice 1 year or 2 year (team option) likewise with Grant because they both have pretty much shown their ceilings and could have up year or down year depending on circumstances.

I think one of the biggest questions is where will CP3 end up? any team thats not close to contender status should sit this market out. just see what your draft picks do and dont throw away money in multi year deals.

If CP3 was on a cheap deal he'd be perfect for Miami

Maybe I didn't know that :ohhh:

:mjlol:

That’s what I remember reading as during the trade deadline OKC/Miami were close to a deal involving him. I don’t necessarily blame him for turning it down if that was the case especially since injuries have messed with his bread.

I just don’t see how OKC will more than likely end up with a first for him when they should be the one giving them up for another team taking CP3 on the contract lol.

Guess they are going to prey on teams desperation to win a chip.

Supposedly Denver is going to offer Grant a 4 year deal at about $16 million per season plus. They have other choice but to keep him as they won’t have the cap space to bring someone else in if he walks.

:jbhmm: tough spot to be in because tbh, this year was DEN best chance of making it out the West, gonna be tougher next year. they not winning nothing no time soon so I would take a chance on one of those Bey boys or trade up to get Precious on a rook deal and let Grant walk. but you know they dont think like that. they will re-sign Grant to that multi first like you said. Pat Williams or Precious are the guys they need to be trying to work a deal to get in the draft. you think LAL will package and trade that pick? maybe to dump Danny Green on somebody? :mjlol:

This is why I've been next season will be about the same exact teams plus the nets and warriors (though they won't beat Clippers and Heat in respective conferences)

21-22 season is when everything will be tough

Every team will be ready and then there's the off-season where Giannis holds the balance of the league in his hands

He'll either stay in MIL or join GS, MIA, BOS or TOR.
Boston has Tatum, Kemba, and Jaylen's contracts, they're not getting Giannis

If I were a heat fan that doesn't think Giannis is needed, I'd want

CP3 and Blake Griffin but of course, Contracts and cap space

They'd be scary and it would be enough to beat LA next year
